Like most of the big corporate organisations, I think they're so paranoid about being sued that they pull anything where there's even the slightest hint that may happen, without actually thinking about it.

Maybe there was a bit of music in the background that they didn't have the proper permissions to use (or that YouTube thought they didn't have permission for)? I know that some social media platforms are now using automated programs to look for copyrighted music in people's posts and, if they find it and is isn't from an account that the program has been told is the "official" account of the copyright holder, it gets automatically deleted.
Unfortunately, these programs haven't been properly set up, and this is why you sometimes hear professional musicians complaining about Farcebook or whoever deleting their post publicising their new release. It's their music, they are the copyright holder, and they've posted it on their verified official account. But, because the program has been told that it should only accept posts containing that music from the official account of the record label that the artist is signed to, it gets deleted as a "copyright violation"! I've even heard of some musicians having their accounts terminated for "persistent copyright violations", when all they have been doing is posting their own music to their official account, but the program thinks that only the label's official account is allowed to post it. |
