The show makes me feel so old sometimes, because I remember that BUSH interrupted the episode where Trey attacked Marissa and I was furious, lol. But I do wish we'd had some Tumblr allies.

I admit, at the time the cancellation satisfied me, lol. I wish it had had more impact- shows seem more emboldened to kill off their lead females than ever before
 But still, I sometimes find myself amused that The OC cancellation continues to in large part be attributed to firing Mischa/killing off Marissa.__________________

I also feel like the writing was WAY overblown from what I did hear. Nothing I heard would have enticed me to watch even if Marissa hadn't been my fave.

Well, and we've been through this, lol, but Josh massively underestimated the RM/Marissa fanbase. I doubt everyone would have been as put off if he'd simply written her as leaving town. He still could have done whatever he wanted to without her, and RM fans would have had hope. I say that even not being one of them by the time the S3 finale rolled around, heh.
