lol I watched from the very start when said who are you to Ryan dammit she should been there when the show ended it just make sad she never got the chance to grow up and have a happy ending while Seth and Summer and even Ryan had ones Marissa is just some memory which is an insult for me since I was her fan first and format .

I didn't watch at first because I didn't think I would like RM, since I had been such a fan of Jessie/Katie on Once and Again. I probably should have stuck with that, lol.

I know Mischa from the OC,but I seen her in AMC in one Eppie as Lily she was great.Marissa character was the best on the OC she the one character that is not boring others well S4 rating said it all LOL

I've actually seen her in just about every role she's ever acted in (well, the movies that have come out, lol) at this point. Marissa was special. I just wish it hadn't ended so badly.

Marissa character something Josh created that was well acted by Mischa and now he trying to recapture in GG with Serena and Blake,but no one can act like Mischa in my opinion she made the role.

Marissa kind of defined the whole idea of The OC- this beautiful, beautiful thing that was a lot more dark and complicated than it seemed on the surface. And Mischa played that perfectly.

exactly its like her character toke over the show and Ben and Ryan no offense,but he did not take over the show for me the way Mischa did.

I think Marissa was really the essence of what the show was supposed to be about. You had Seth, who was the misfit, and Summer, who was the essentially the embodiment what the town of "Newport" was supposed to be: shallow and materialistic, almost like a younger Julie Cooper. (I put Newport in quotes because I'm sure this show is not a truthful representation of the real Newport--or maybe it is. They did do a Laguna Beach spinoff there. But I don't know for sure, and I don't pretend to.) Ryan was the outsider looking in.

But Marissa was the facet of the show that was most interesting and I think that was the angle that Josh Schwartz really wanted to play at the beginning: that no matter how beautiful this girl was or how much money or stuff she had, it didn't necessarily mean that she was happy or confident. I think that's what drew me most to her at first, being that I come from a humbler lifestyle but could still relate. And I think that by taking Marissa out of the mix, you lose a crucial element of the show. That's the story that people want to see. They want to be able to relate to these people despite differences in lifestyle, and tragedy and heartache are universal. And Mischa conveyed that extremely well. She was beautiful and confident out in public, and a little awkward and insecure when she was in a vulnerable moment. Mischa walked that fine line so perfectly, especially in body language and facial expression. They kept talking about Ben (and Ryan) being able to express everything in a look, but I think Mischa was way more talented in that aspect. Her eyes always look like there's something turning behind them. I think they lost an asset, but of course I've always felt that way. I've just been catching re-runs on TV and it's glaringly obvious.

Everyone knows the show got canceled after S4 because no one could have carried the show in my opinion not Ben or anyone could bring life in to it no offense to him.

I actually think the three most unforgettable characters of The OC, and the three that really no one else but these particular three actors could have played so effectively, are Marissa, Seth, and Julie.

Yep those characters had spanks and spice to the show they actually prop up others like seth proped summer up and Marissa did the same thing to Ryan in S4 you can sleep through it in my opinion .
