Childhood Sweethearts (Luke/Marissa) #2: Title TBD

 Luke and Marissa Appreciation Thread

Here's the thread to appreciate the relationship between Marissa Cooper and Luke Ward. Marissa was the original girl next door and Luke was her first boyfriend and lover. If you want to talk about their childhood romance, their later friendship, or just the sweet, natural chemistry between Chris and Mischa, this is the place! Y'all know the rules. Don't bash LM, Luke, Marissa, Chris, or Mischa in here. Have fun!

I have no idea if I ever did art for Luke and Marissa tbh. LOL.

stlavin95 07-19-2020 03:54 AM

Doesn't look like it, lol

Cristofle 07-19-2020 12:40 PM

And I enjoy their scenes, so it's a bit surprising that I didn't, but I was often inspired by the moment, lol, and sadly Luke and Marissa never had scenes again after S1.

Which really sucked

Cristofle 07-20-2020 02:17 PM

Imagine if we'd had Luke back in S3 instead of effing Johnny. Sigh.

stlavin95 07-20-2020 02:59 PM

So much better

Cristofle 07-21-2020 11:32 AM

It would have made sense. She and Luke were super familiar with each other; they grew up together. She would have been comfortable talking to him.

stlavin95 07-22-2020 03:00 AM

And Luke would have been understanding too

Cristofle 07-22-2020 04:43 PM

He would have. But that might have highlighted that Ryan was not exactly the world's best boyfriend, and Josh did not appear to be interested in that.

stlavin95 07-23-2020 03:35 AM

Definitely not

Cristofle 07-23-2020 04:00 PM

I think the scene where he sort of hung up on her when she called him after a nightmare was maybe the only one where Josh hinted Marissa legitimately was not getting the support she needed from him, but she didn't get to bring that up much re: Johnny.

stlavin95 07-23-2020 04:25 PM

No he didn't

Cristofle 07-25-2020 03:50 PM

Sigh. So many missed opportunities. Marissa wasn't mean-spirited and she tended to be generous with people she cared about; the hatred for her always weirded me out.

stlavin95 07-26-2020 03:52 AM

Most people who hate tended to think like Ryan and think he did no wrong in their relationship
