We were talking about this in another thread, but Summer is also a character I could have seen as bi, lol. She seemed openly curious about the experience of dating girls.

Yeah, I could have easily seen that type of storyline happening with her too.

For as much as Josh obviously liked Rachel, he wasn't always great at giving her storylines with any depth, and that would have been a good one.

He wasn't good at all for any character really lol

Not by S3, no. Not even the ones he thought he was doing a good job with.

He very quickly strayed from what he was good at, which was funny, quirky teen froth with some family moments.

Which was really dumb hindsight

It's always bad when a show runner starts taking themselves too seriously. Like, stick to your strong points, and who cares if it isn't ~high art~.

That never ends well

It happens so frequently, too. Show writers so often get cocky, and think ahead of themselves.
