Mischa Barton - AU: Marissa Cooper/Emma Nelson(Degrassi)

Yes, I know that there are quite a few AU threads in here discussing similarities between Marissa and other characters, but the similarity between Emma and Marissa is undeniable.

Well, first of all, they both have their short bubbly brunette friend (Manny, Summer) at their side.
They also were star crossed with the bad boy that no one else gave a chance (Sean, Ryan)
And they both have had to deal with so much drama it's not even funny! Both went through the trauma of a shooting, both hooked up randomly with even badder boys than their original boys (Jay, Volchock) after said shooting, both were actively involved in their schools.

If anyone else has seen Degrassi and thinks these two are pretty similar, well then post!

Also, add more similarities, cause there are tons that I can't think of right now.

I've never seen Degrassi but just wanted to come in and say that the similarities you've got listed do sound really similar.

Yeah, they are very similar! I'm glad you like the photo in the banner.

They both even turned to alcohol when times got rough.. I suppose that's another one.

But Emma was always my favorite character on Degrassi,and yeah, they are extremely similar characters, from the minor things like their boyfriend issues and friend issues (although Manny>>>>>>Summer,) to the bigger things,like how Emma was almost shot and Marissa shot somebody else.

I lovelovelove Sean/Emma! I need more of them on the show darnit.

I don't like Ryan/Marissa as much anymore, but if the writing went the way I would have liked it to, they could have been as timeless and star-crossed as Sean/Emma.

Emma and Marissa also both had parent issues! Emma and Marissa dealt with the strange idea of their moms dating Snake (Emma's teacher) and Caleb (Marissa's friend's grandpa). They also had to experience Snake's infidelity and Jimmy being.. well.. Jimmy.
