It's been brought up in the past that this kind of thread would interest people, and since we're in a lull news wise I figured this might bring forth some good discussions.

This is the thread to compare Kelly's performances, to discuss which genre you prefer for Kelly, to share your thoughts on which genre you think Kelly excells in the best, which genre you wish Kelly would tackle next, etc.

This is basically a thread dedicated to any discussion of Kelly's lack of one-dimensional music. She's done Rock, Pop, Country, Indie covers, Blues, Big Band, Powerhouse Diva material... And this is the thread to discuss, compare, analyze, gush, dissect and everything in between!

Every time I think I know which genre I like Kelly in best, she surprises me by tackling another one and doing it masterfully. Although I will admit I'm a little partial to the little Rocker Kelly.

Definitely love the little Rocker Kelly. But not a ton. As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVE My December, Breakaway seems a little softer and I am partial to that album.

Here are some of my favorite "Rock" performances of hers. I like that she can mold her vocals to fit the genre perfectly. It's one thing I love about Kelly's little rock side, it's that it does not feel forced or fake in any way. It feels very natural to her when you are watching her do it.

That's not to say that I don't like her other genres. Cause I do! I think she excells at all of them really...and hands down she is the queen of Big Band! Even when she did the Tony Bennett benefit everyone there was in awe and that was so out of her usual realm.

Cryin is definitely an amazing performance. AND KELLY MAKES ME LIKE BIG BAND TOO SLTT is still one of my favorites too
