I reserve my jugement of how they are handling her US promotion for the end of the summer. At first I thought it was odd that they didn't have her do a lot of promotion in the states and so much overseas. Now I kind of think that spreading it out in the States is good for staying power. Hopefully I'm right.

It's definitely a bit different this time around though promotion wise.

You know, now that you bring it up, I'll wait as well. Recently, I've been wondering/questioning the promotion for AIEW. There really hasn't been much in the states.

I guess my one question is, why do all these small summer concerts instead of a big tour. I've been trying to figure out when the big tour will be considering she's gonna be overseas a lot in the fall. It just seems like it will be so far removed from the release of the album.

I think it feels that way because it is so spread out. Technically, she is doing all of the big shows... Just not all at once like it is normally done.

I'm hoping this is a way to keep her in the spotlight for a long period of time as opposed to being everywhere for a week and then sort of disappearing from TV.

I hadn't thought of it that way, Andy. I hope that's what they are doing... just trying to keep her in the spotlight. But she's still doing great, even if we don't think she's getting as much promotion as she could!

where is she overseas in the fall? i thought she was coming back from overseas after this promo trip for all the summer dates and that was it?

there`s probably good reasoning behind the smaller tour before the big one. i don`t really know how these things work, but i`m sure there`s good reason.

I like to think of it as an opportunity for Kelly to test her new material if nothing else.

I think this might also be why she's pacing herself a bit before the big tour.

I guess it does explain why she dedicated "Whyyawannabringmedown" to her record label at one of her shows recently. It seems like RCA hardly ever listen to her. I mean, I adore Already Gone, so part of me is happy it's getting released, but I can also understand Kelly. Her intentions are good in not wanting it released.

And a little OT but the last part of her quote reminded me of Alanis' "You Learn" song from Jagged Little Pill, which Kelly loves. Nothing related to the discussion at hand but I just thought I'd throw that in there.
