Converse look o.k but it is never a sexy look. Everytime l see someone in converse l always automatically think how much their feet must smell. l think Kelly could have looked better in less of a streetwear shoe. l've always wanted to buy a pair of converse, but that is COMPLETELY out of the question because: they are low quality (poorly constructed with poor materials) and they are far too available via mass markets (never a good thing...my pet hate). l haven't worn a rubber sole shoe in over 25 years.

Converse =
* too many synthetic materials used (don't allow the feet to breathe properly)
* No character in the sole, just offensive factory moulded soles
* no proper functioning insole, therefore bacteria can build up
* poorly lasted, hence a primative shape that doesn't conform with the foot.

l view footwear strictly as `function' these days, not fashion. l'm trying not to get carried away here, l could write 500 pages about this.

Andy and I do not want anything posted about a patricular fashion that may put someone else down. You can say miss and explain why you don't like it on Kelly, but do not generalize the fashion statement. This isn't the time or place and there are other boards to do so.

I'd have to agree with that. Although I can see where comfort might take precedence over fashion on occasion.
