I already tried that one when I was starting the thread. Pity it doesn't fit as it is a nice quote

That is a pretty great quote... Maybe if we remove 1 word like 'almost'?

That dress was so cute on her!
I want another KC holiday special. Maybe next year. ETA: It fits if it's like this: Quote:

ooh I'd love it, or if she'd do it together with someone!
I like it that way as well! __________________

Does it need the dots?
Sorry, wanted to start this over the weekend but never happened Kelly's Christmas Songs Day 1: Grown Up Christmas List 'Grown Up Christmas List' is a Christmas song composed by David Foster and Linda Thompson-Jenner. It was originally recorded by David Foster and Natalie Cole for David's 1990 album River of Love. In 1992 Amy Grant recorded the song for her album Home for Christmas, and added an additional version which she wrote. __________________

Grown Up Christmas List is possibly my favourite of her Christmas songs
Kelly's Christmas Songs Day 2: Baby, It's Cold Outside 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' is a song written by Frank Loesser in 1944, and officially recorded in 1949 for the film Neptune's Daughter. It was never written as a Christmas song, and would not become known as one until more recent years after it appeared in the 2003 Christmas movie Elf. __________________

I still have a soft spot for MGUCL, even though she sounds so dang young on it now. One of my favorites.
BICO... I skip it sometimes. Not necessarily due to Ronnie, but just because of the creepy factor. __________________

We need a new version of MGUCL
That was actually interesting when I was just reading about the song itself. Back then it wasn't seen as creepy as some of the things said weren't necessarily seen the same way as we see them now. Originally Frank Loesser & his wife would sing it at parties, they first did it to hint to the guests it was the end of the party, but it was just entertainment for the time. Then in the movie Neptune's Daughter its actually sung twice - once with a guy trying to get a girl to stay, & then later by a girl trying to get a guy so the roles are reversed. That had me curious as when you hear the song now its always the guy singing the role of the "wolf" & the girl singing the role of the "mouse" (of course the fact that the roles are called wolf & mouse only adds to the creepiness probably ) But anyway, the origin of the song shows it was not a Christmas song & it wasn't as bad as it is now because of the times & culture then. Then you couldn't be alone with a man or spend the night with one if you're not married. The "what's in this drink" just referred to the alcohol in the drink, not what it would be now with people drugging drinks ect. If you're bored feel free to look into that I found it interesting __________________

That's interesting, I had kind of heard some of that before, but interesting that it was not intended as a Christmas song originally, too. I think culture and modern society, especially with things in the news now like so much sexual assault and harassment makes us think of the worst with that song.
I'd love a new recording of MUGCL to see how her voice would sound on it now. __________________
