The Kelly and Ben Moody Appreciation Thread - 'Cause they're an A+ Songwriting Team!

Just as to not mislead anyone, this isn't a "shippers" thread (Though it's ok if anyone likes them that way)

This thread is simply to celebrate the musical greatness that is Kelly and Ben when they work together.

Their joint efforts have produced the likes of Because Of You and Addicted, along with an unreleased song titled "Bleed For Me" that unfortunately did not make it onto the Breakaway album. But word on the street was, way back when, that the song was equally as good.

Not to mention, Kelly has said several times that she will most definitely work with Ben Moody again in the future, since they are great friends.

If it was up to me, they'd be working together on her next album, seeing as BOY and Addicted are two of my favorite Kelly songs ever. Time will tell...But in the meantime, we can relish in their songwriting greatness and hope for more. This is what this thread is for.

I have to say my favorite song from them is Addicted; however BOY is just as great.

Was Bleed For Me the one that she sang a part of in a phone call to a fan?

And ultimate_kc_fan, I totally agree. I would have loved for them to release Addicted. Can you imagine the video we probably would have gotten out of that one?

worthy. I do, however, like Walk Away and the video we got from it. I felt that we needed an uptempo song from Kelly released.

I wonder if she'll play Bleed for Me on the Addicted Tour.

It'd be really great if she played it on tour, or if she surprised us with a new collaboration with him for the new album. He's such an intense guy, and her songwriting seems to be that way too. I think that's what made songs like Addicted so dang good.

they have good chemistry when writing music together. i hope there are some songs with him on the new album.

Well he's not my type, but he's one hell of a musician so that does make him sort of hot I guess?

And just an old quote from MTV's article about "Why it's now cool to like Kelly Clarkson". It just goes to show Ben, who's more of a rocker guy, enjoyed working with Kelly.

Haha Yeah. I remember before the VMAs her entire fanbase was pretty certain she would lose both her awards to Gwen and Mariah. We were all pretty certain her best chance was the fan award. And then she won both of her awards and I think that is when everyone took a moment and stopped and realized: "Okay, this is it."
