i've been meaning to post this. what are your thoughts on this? i think this is one of the instances that dancewithlife was talking about when she said that sometimes avril has said or done unfavorable things to kelly.

Isn't it ironic (again) () that they're both doing an acoustic album for both of their 4th studio albums.

Ah that infamous video that got everybody talking back then. I remember Simon Cowell even being mad at Avril for this.

Avril is doing an acoustic album? That's cool. Although I don't think Kelly's album will be acoustic though. I mean she is working with Ryan Tedder on it and it was said there would be lots of big drum programming on the songs.

Thats true, but Avril also stated, "But I don’t know about the entire record being like that [acoustic]. We’ll see. Maybe like half."

So they could be very similiar

And regarding that infamous video again, I remember Kelly trying to come up with a very PC answer for what had happened. She said she thinks Avril wasn't aware she should hug those giving her the award, whereas Kelly had been told backstage she should hug the winner. According to Kelly it created confusion. Now is that the truth? Who knows But it sure calmed down people for a while.

I don't think so, I think Avril could of worked out that Kelly was going to hug her.

I agree.

I think Kelly was just trying to defend Avril and avoid controversy - even though eventually it did become mediatized a lot.

I think Avril was y oung at that time and I doubt this is something she would do today. She's shown she respects Kelly as a musician now (whereas Kelly was just an AI contestant then in her eyes maybe?)
