"I'm gonna be a fashion designer if this doesn't work out"

I think she did a good job with the audition, though she clearly didn't impress Simon much
and how she switched with the judges' seat

'Score! Come on man pull through'

I like Respect :D Though I love the latter live version better! Though I do think this song is better then her audition songs.. shows her range a lot more

Say a little prayer is not my fav one... it was a bit too short perhaps

xkellyx 03-06-2019 02:26 PM

She has the best personality  Her audition was really good but I do think she rushed At Last a little bit. You can still tell she has an amazing voice though!

Respect was vocally amazing and such a good song choice.

Say A Little Prayer was okay. Not really long enough to judge!

heartღaflutter 03-07-2019 04:25 AM

it was way too short, Say a little prayer.. not sure how that contributed in the show if you only get to sing such a short bit

I'm behind with this already :look: :P

hmm which was the audition which was actually shown in the episode? The video now doesn't work so had to try find other versions & At Last sounds so much better than Express Yourself. She seemed more entertaining than showing off her vocal ability. I can understand why the part Simon remembered about her was that she swapped places with Randy. Respect is an amazing choice for her & she really shone in that early performance. I know I've heard later versions & she still shines, but impressive the talent she has all the way back int the Hollywood rounds still. I don't really care for the I Say a Little Prayer performance but maybe it is because you only get such a short performance?

Save the Best For Last again doesn't win my over. She did better with Respect during the Hollywood round. She's still amazing though but really not her best performance. Then she goes & sounds amazing with You're All I Need while being sick? Clearly she prayed to the right person to get her voice back & sound that good. tbh I would've thought she was sick with the Best For Last performance sooner than the You're All I Need as she felt more flat then. Until she said it I'd forgotten about her singing despite having laryngitis. I actually did know about that one, just couldn't have told you which performance . Natural Woman is one performance I know I've heard & seen before (couldn't tell you why I've seen it :P) & still remember it. Its a really good performance. Love how quickly Simon changes his tune about her

Since I had to replace the links there's a HQ version of the Natural Woman performance here. I just have used one which has the judge comments in the list above. Also have only fixed the links in the new post, not the original one ;)

heartღaflutter 03-09-2019 08:26 AM

yeah Save the best for Last wasn't my fav either, I don't think it was the best choice for her. It does show some of her range, though not fully

I definitely think she started to shine with 'You're all I need'
I love her persona on stage... she definitely loves the stage
I think it showcases as well how amazing and unique her voice is

I love Natural Woman  Especially when that boy gets on stage so cute
but also really amazig how she was able to hit those notes

haha yes Simon changes his opinion quickly

I love 'Don't Play That Song', she was wonderful with that song! :D

Stuff Like That There - It's awesome to see her with a band behind her! She did amazing! Not my fav but I do believe she showed her range well here
and she can really sing really fast

Walk on By - I love it!
Also love her hair :P

Sorry I went to post the new one the other day but I was one day too early, then forgot to come back . Almost all the links for these ones needed to be fixed too :(
