Yeah I feel the same.

Speaking of, it seems like two songs were leaked online last night. I wasn't online so I didn't hear any of them but I saw that Aben (Kelly's Guitarist) posted on the KCE asking fans to please not post it and not spread it until they are made public.

I don't know what the songs are, but the reaction seemed to be like the songs were amazing.

i was actually around when it all went down and it was pretty crazy. i feel bad for kelly and gang. obviously it was a pretty big deal if aben started the thread and then later cleared up that the songs were actually stolen... its so sad. i can't wait to hear some new stuff soon though. well hopefully soon...

I know I felt so bad when I heard that the songs were actually STOLEN. Seriously...there's a limit.

A few of my friends heard them before they were taken offline and aparently they are pretty good. They said I would love "Ready"

I feel bad that as an artist Kelly has to have her unfinished work shared with the public though. It's a tough thing for an artist to not be done with something and have it exposed early...

However, this seems odd as Wikipedia says it was leaked March 20th, but clearly this comment is two days earlier.

Yeah these were leaked a few days ago so the date is definitely wrong.

That message from Aben though seems pretty real. He blogged about the issue on his myspace also (his music MySpace) and he seemed pretty upset.

I can't remember where I read, some blog I think, but somebody said Aben posted them on his myspace.

If that were the case, it's not surprising that it leaked like wild fire. And why Aben seems really distraught about it.

Aben did not post them on his myspace.

I believe the story is that Aben had uploaded them to a private folder of his website. Most likely in order to share them only with people who had access to that part of his website (family, friends, associates?) The people from the Brazilian sites ADMITTED to tampering and playing around the with URL of his website in order to get to his private folder. And they just took the songs and reposted them without permission or credit.

At least that's the story that I heard.

I only heard one of the songs because it was playing on a blog as their streaming song a few days ago. It is a very good song.

I think that it was a little careless of him to begin with, the internet probably wasn't the best medium to share them with

I've listened to them, and deleted them since. Close Your Eyes was my favorite. If you want to hear them, Google Blogsearch is your best friend.

I think it was Ready that I heard, and I really liked it. But I think I'll wait to hear the other ones. As tempting as it is.

As for the whole situation, I think the internet is never a safe thing, so in that sense I think Aben learned a lesson. But at the same time, it was still stealing. That website and those fans still took something that did not belong to them and that was NOT public yet and reused it without permission. Sadly, this is how the internet works nowadays....but in a lot of ways it's still considered stealing.

It's just too bad it all went down like this. I keep hearing the songs are great though! I think everyone should focus on that.
