Just going to do one round of posting tonight, didn't sleep well last night so add that to how I was already tired & I'm pretty useless today

I don't think so. I mean it hasn't necessarily been a bad year, I just feel like its one thing after another. I get through one thing only to have to deal with another, or have multiple things to deal with & I just can't handle it. It all just keeps weighing down on me. Then just when I think I might get on top of it, something else happens & it all goes to hell. I keep relating to this song, especially: there's only so much I can carry before I fall. I had to be moved out of the toddler room as I just couldn't cope in there & now I'm just moving around a bit so don't know what's going on. In the nursery for a few weeks now but that's sharing the yard with the toddler room so I'm already getting the same crap from them that I was before as some of them don't support the rest of the team as well as they could at all times. Then this stupid marriage equality postal vote here its driving me crazy. Its now at the point where if I want to watch TV as its airing I need to mute the ad breaks to try not hear the no campaign ads as they make me feel like there's something wrong with me for something which I know is out of my control. So I'm ready for 2018

I'm ready for 2018, but at the same time not. I'm sorry that this year has been rough, Chelle. Turning off the news is okay, overwatching and being inundated with news can be bad for mental health. I know I have to turn it off a lot and can't watch it for too long.

In some ways I'm not ready for 2018 either, but I'd like to at least jump in time a bit so some things were over
I'm not turning the news off (although depending on when I get home I do miss some of it sometimes), just muting the ads. The news doesn't bother me but I do get what you're saying. There's so much bad news. All I do is watch the hour news or have it on each night (or at least each weeknight), & I think mainly it is because its what I'm used to. I grew up with my parents watching it & now I do it, but its nice to have an idea of what is going on in the world & local area - then mostly I try to catch the weather on it which is what I mostly watch it for __________________

I mostly watch the local news, they have the big stories but they don't spend the whole time on the same things like the big channels do. Plus, the local news often has a few more lighthearted stories and sports and such.
 On a lighter note, I have my schedule for next semester and it is so good! I only have two on-campus classes, and only two days on campus. Everything else online! __________________

We don't have local news here really since I live in the city. It does a little bit of world news, a little bit of local news, & mostly Australia-related sport, then weather in an hour so doesn't cover a lot I don't think but enough to give basic idea on what is going on

I'm defrosting a freezer, well waiting for one to defrost so I can go grocery shopping
