I absolutely LOVE the title of this thread. Truer words have never been spoken.

Personally, my favorite non-single (yet) track is Addicted. This is the song that distances Kelly from any other AIers IMO.

Since "Beautiful Disaster" was technically from her first album my favorite from the second is "Where is Your Heart" but I also really love "Hear Me". Heck, I love them all. Her second album definitely did not fall into the dreaded "sophomore slump" category.

I could not agree more. I love the depth of that song, the way Kelly really has put her heart and emotions on paper. A lot of people can interpret that song differently. I, personally, do not use the word "addiction" for something as casual as someone's presence. An addiction is something you have to have...That's why I think this is Kelly's more adult song. That combined with her saying it's "the sexiest song" she's ever written...the meanings are endless and I love that about the song. One could take it as someone simply being addicted to having someone around, or you could take it as needing someone intimately. Either way, the song works...and I LOVE IT!

Exactly.

I'm really glad the actual song goes well with the lyrics too. Cause you know how sometimes a song can have awesome lyrics but the actual music is bad.

Oh yea, and I love the bridge. She really makes you feel it.

I could not agree with you more. sometimes you have really powerful lyrics, but the music and the arrangements ruin their effect.

Not in this case. All works so well together, and it produces a chill-inducing song.

Oh yea, and I love the bridge. She really makes you feel it.

The thing I love about the bridge, is that she sounds like the lyrics imply she's feeling. When you're addicted, you reach that point where you're going nuts. Kinda like withdrawal. During the bridge, you almost feel it in her voice...she's got to have this mystery man...like she needs it. I love it about the song. Her voice gets more and more powerful as it progresses...just like the lyrics and metaphors in it.

I agree with everything you said. It would be an awesome single. I think it would be a good choice too cause it's different from what's out there. It's not your typical Pop song.

It's also not what people are used to hear Kelly sing like...or about. I think a lot of people who haven't taken notice yet would do so with this song

I'd really like to see the music video for it. But if she chose the wrong director I can see it not living up to it's potential
