I thought I can't be the only Veronica/Weevil shipper in the Forum.

BTW, the title of the ship 'Weevil Doers' I found on some random VM board (can't remember which one) aaaagggeeeessss ago. So...if anyone has a better title....share and I'll get a Mod to change it.

the pic and the quote. That is perhaps one of the best quotes ever from the show.

It might be only the two of us here for now but I hope other Weevil Doers show themselves.

Also, if anyone doesn't like Weevil Doers or has another name they think would be good. Please share. The name isn't set in stone.

I might hunt down some more Veronica/Weevil quotes later. I vaguely remeber one in 110 where he's complimenting her about fitting in at the Echolls Party and I remember in 102 when he immediately got pissed at her for thinking he'd stolen the credit cards, like he was disappointed that she wouldn't believe him or something...good times. And I LOVE that she's ridden on his motorbike (105?!) and wore matching leathers.

There's not enough V/W interraction, I want more!

I'm a big Weevil Doer even though I like Veronica and Duncan as well. I think it's just because I absolutely love Weevil. He always has the best lines, besides Veronica of course.

I agree. SO far i've seen about 4 eps and i'm really liking him. Just saw ep2 because I wanted to see their interaction and I loved it.

I like seeing Veronica help him out.

They have such good chemistry in their conversations and they seem to work off of each other really well. I can't wait to see how their relationship develops.

That "random message board" is the "official" back up board in case FF ever goes down.

Unfortuntaely, very few know about it since we can't openly post links to other boards, but those who do know... *cough, Sooz, cough* should pass it on as a kind of fail safe if this board is ever inaccessible

I have the VM boards on my favourites, but I'm using a different comp for a while so I couldn't find the board but I remembered the ship name cos I thought it was very clever at the time. But yes, as soon as I'm back on my regular comp and I have the link I will pass the info along!

I'm a big fan of Veronica and Weevil. Heck, I've wanted them to get together since the first episode, and I haven't wavered yet.

The name Weevil Doers is cool. I wish I was witty enough to come up with stuff like that.

I love the fact that he's this intimidating looking guy and she's this petite little thing, and they look so odd together.

I love how they help each other out. I really think they understand each other.

I supose this goes for all of the men on the show (the young ones of course)...

But I really do not want to see her get romantically involved with Weevil because I think what they have is far better than romance -- in every sense of the word. They have an understanding of who they are (as individuals) and as each other in the sense that they don't pretend to be anything other than who they really are (at least around each other).

Weevil is looked at as the "bad seed". Veronica is the outcast. So be it.

I think this simplicity and their character's ability to acknowledge this -- by not actually acknowledging it, aka subtext, is what makes these two very special and almost the most "intimate" couple on the show even though there is absolutely no romantic involvement between them (yet)... And I hope it stays this way.

Their appeal and strength comes from the one thing that most romantic couples usually can't admit/handle: They don't lie or apologize for who they are when they are with each other and that is what I meant when I said they are more intimate than an actual romantically paired couple like her and Duncan.

I think if they producers did get them together... even just for a brief time for ratings (like during Sweeps)... It would ruin what they've already established (in my mind) and make anything that has come before it "cheap" in every sense of the word.

Sometimes the most romantic relationships are the ones without romance, but just friendship

I understand what your saying UM and I agree for some of it. They do have an understanding of who they are as individuals. IMO, that would make the best romantic relationship. I'm not saying that they should get together right away. We all know the trouble that can happen between two people in a romantic relationship. I just believe that in the end they should realize that they should be together. They may never get together but knowing that they both wish they could or should be together is more important than actually being together. Sometimes friendship no matter how hard we fight it is on a romantic level. I also think that friendship before hand turns into better relationships. How can you really love someone if your not their friend first?

Y'see, at the moment, I don't see them as 'intimate.' There's mutual respect, admiration and care on both sides but their basic friendship can be reduced to a series of favours at this point IMO. So I don't really see it as 'romantic' as of yet.

I just want to see more Weevil/Veronica interractions, in any capacity relationship or otherwise, on the show. And I want to see Weevil fleshed out a bit more. I seriously can't see Weevil in any sort of relationship with a girl who isn't Veronica. And if Veronica and Weevil did ever go out, I think it'd be interesting to compare and contrast their relationship with D/V or T/V who were 09ers. I mean, W and D/T are from completely different sides of the spectrum. Nottomention the bucketloads of conflict that the rel. would bring with it. I can see Wallace, Keith, 09ers etc not accepting it. The show started off with V against the world, now she's befriending the 09ers again. I think it'd be interesting if she chose not have [friendly or romantic] relationships with them but chose to hang out with the people who, once friendly with her, didn't drop her, ignore her or make fun of her at the drop of a hat. In the few months that she's been friends with Weevil (and Wallace actually) they've proved to be better friends than Logan and Duncan who have treated her pretty shamefully in the past.
