I wish we could have seen more of those past flashes (the good ones) of the four of them.
I bumped into a FF story last week where Logan is watching Veronica and Lily performed in some sort of High School show your talent Show. And the story showed a protective Logan over Veronica at the same time being a supporting boyfriend for Lily.
I truly believe that he was in love with Lily but his love relationship with Veronica was a little bit better, like healthier. I try to be objective when comparing those relationships but the way it was presented to us in the show, Logan seemed to be immerse in a pattern of the person who has been abused, so he seeks for a relationship where clearly Lily was abusing him. And he knew it. "I loved Lily and Lily loved guys... -not like I loved her"

What do you think ?

I really like this episode because it also shows the beginning of Logan and Veronica recomposing their friendship relationship. Only the two of them knew how it was in the past. Because Duncan is in lalalala land with all those antidepressants, so both of them have been alone during all this. Each of them dealing with their own things. Logan being a supportive friend for Duncan, and punishing Veronica, and Veronica being a supportive daughter and being on the other end of Logan's anger. What a mess !!

I agree, that Logan relationship with Lilly was abusing - and he was a victim. He took his mother's role in relationship.
But after Lilly's murder, he took for a while his father role in his attitude toward Veronica (before they became friends again). In general he was more often a victim than not.
Logan also had other abusive girlfriends (Caitlin Ford, Carrie Bishop), but some other girlfriends were ok (Hanah, Parker and of course Veronica).


In episode 4 we see, that Lilly kisses Logan in front of her parents to piss them off (when they arrive home in the morning with the limo) and he might (?) not look completely comfortable about it. Later when Aaron catches Logan and Veronica kissing (episode 20, season 1), Logan is embarrassed. So Lilly was not considerate of Logan's feelings.

I would also like to add this.
I've forgotten, how very close Veronica and Logan ware in the past (he knew, she was a virgin, she knew, he has believed, she was hot at 12).

So I wonder... what did Logan think about Duncan's disregard of Veronica. Did he think, that Veronica has done something bad to Duncan?

he was probably just as confused as she was by ducan's sudden coldness but probably didnt want to probe into it and discuss "feelings" with duncan

My bet is that he tried to find out about why Duncan broke up with Veronica and Duncan didn't say a word. Kind of like the conversation they have at the party after the poker game. Pretty simple, just like guys.

He never pushed, he supported his friend and his family no matter what.
