I haven't read the second one yet, but the first book is really good.

The second book was good as far as the mystery goes, plus their was more of Logan and Veronica's relationship in the second book :)

I have only read the first book, and feel it doesn't really touch upon what we see in the movie: there is obviously a new player in town, when it comes to corruption, drugs, crime. (Poor Sacks :'()

I thought they would get to it in the first book when we learnt about those drug cartel boys etc., but the story ended up going in a completely different direction.

I think the woman who will be police chief in the new series is police chief in the second book. In the first, it's still Dan Lamb if I remember correctly. (Re: story, I heard the story of the second book was crap but there is more LoVe, while the story of the first book is pretty decent but there is very little LoVe as Logan is away in the military).

I will rewatch the movie, probably sometime later this week.

We should have a movie re-watch once we get a date for the new series - watch it a week or so before the Hulu series starts.
