Jake did love both of his kids at some point. He was broken-hearted at Lily's memorial...he just was not a good Dad. And Celeste was just a horrible human being-no redeeming qualities at all-she got that guy to follow Veronica and take pics and then send them to Lianne.

But his kids would be so against what Jake Kane was doing to the Mars family towards the end of Season 3 of Veronica Mars. In fact, Duncan and Lilly would disown him and Celeste. I mean, he was a part of trying to get Veronica killed and causing Keith to not be Sheriff anymore. Duncan, himself told Veronica that he always has loved her, and always will. Lilly's up in heaven trying to save Veronica's life by not getting killed in the bus bombing.

Did Jake try to get Veronica killed? I must have forgotten, it has been a long time since I watched seson 3. What did he do? I must watch season 3 again.

As for Keith - he wrongly accused Jake of murder of his daughter. And they were both in love with the same woman, so... they have always hated each other. It was hardly likely that Jake would support/agree with Keith's candidacy for sheriff.

Lilly loved Veronica, that's true. But she loved her father too and she was not highly moral person herself. After all she slept with the father of her own boyfriend and she broke his heart. So, maybe she would understand, that her father is flawed too.

I agree with you about Duncan though. He always loved Veronica. He would be very angry with his father. He might even disown him. Actually, I think that Duncan will be Veronica's end game.

But Keith was apparently a better father than Jake would be.

Duncan should be Veronica's endgame. I was surprised that Logan didn't bring Duncan up when Leo did the pizza thing with Veronica.

Well, problem with that is-Teddy doesn't act anymore. And I wouldn't want someone else playing Duncan. It just wouldn't be the same.
