Gaby--I'm pretty sure the LAPD officer said that Deadbeat's girlfriend was worried, and given that Keith had impersonated a public officer, I can see why they came to Neptune.

Of course, Lamb got to look smug, which is always a plus.

Right, Nina, Anita.

I haven't seen Heather, but I'm sure we could get her to stop by if we prod her well enough.

Michael is a good draw, right?

That's very true. Plus, since neither of them post on TWoP, FF is another place for them to play if LJ accidentally crashes again! Not that the FF servers are more stable or anything, but hey, it's another option!

You are correct about FF being a good place to play when LJ is down, but I know that the server issues are being addressed, as it's not something anyone connected with FF has control over.

It's been acting better this week, so hopefuly nothing will go wrong on Wednesday.

O/T but my internet in my room is working again. So to make this on topic, provided my meeting at 2:30 on Wednesday doesn't last very long, I should be able to make the Michael chat this week =)

Welcome newbies!

Oh--that's good, Gaby.

I'm about post at ROL about the chat, even though Michael hasn't returned my email, but has been trolling around.

Welcome everyone!

So does anyone have any spec (without spoilers) about whether Lamb is going to be an opportunistic mastermind this season or is going to be the lazy, incompetent sheriff that doesn't care if other people (like Veronica) know he doesn't take his job seriously?

I really want him to be the opportunistic, self-serving mastermind that, of course, has his public 'I'm here to serve the people' face, with the hidden 'if it's in my best interest'.

Hmm...i like that idea, Anita!

It would be really nice to see Lamb not be lazy, and it looks like he was doing his job this week, so maybe he's over a new leave (as part of his new agenda to get Veronica to himself I don't know :shrugs:.)

He did a decent job working the case last week, even if he missed some steps, but I'm inclined to believe that he wants to "do good" to some extent.

O/T again but laptop died so I will try to make the chat but don't be alarmed if I don't.

I like that idea, too, Anita.

As for Lamb doing a decent job, I think he would have been more than happy with just having Weevil in jail and the 'poor little rich kids' live without their stuff but, of course, Veronica wouldn't let things go. The only difference was this time she was actually brought Lamb into the loop before she confronted the bad guys, so the evidence was admissible. It seems she may have learned that handing Lamb a case 'on a silver platter' isn't as straightforward as it would have been if the evidence had been legally obtained. Although, I'm not sure if that was considered 'entrapment' since the security guy didn't know he was being recorded. I suppose Lamb could have got a warrant/permission for a wire tap, based on Veronica's new evidence.

I'm sure there was a reason for the wiretap, Anita.

Lamb's not that corrupt, yet....
