Veronica Mars - Sheriff Lamb/Michael Muhney #15: Because Michael puts the awww in law.

Deputy when Keith was Sheriff, Lamb was promoted after the emergency recall election. Lamb quickly got on Veronica's bad side when he laughed in her face for reporting she'd been raped.

He may be smarmy and sarcastic, but he isn't completely bad: he helped Keith catch the E-String Strangler, although Keith did most of the hard work, and he did listen to Keith and Veronica when it was revealed Abel Koontz didn't murder Lilly. Perhaps there is hope for him yet.

He isn't above using dirty tactics during his bid for reelection, either; he barely won after he dug up the fact that Keith let Ed the bus driver go years earlier for drinking and driving and exploited that fact during a debate. Lamb also likes to use the phrase "You need to go see the wizard" and likes to call himself "the Exterminator." But what really lies beneath his tough guy exterior? Do we really know anything about him? We know he went to Southwest Texas for a year before blowing his knee and dropping out. We know he likes to work out (shirtlessly). And we know his father...well, actually we don't know much about his father except he might have abused Lamb as a child. Why don't you go see the wizard and ask him about that?

Woody was flown to Neptune where the Sheriff's department would have deputies to escort Woody to jail. Lamb never left Neptune. Keith probably had to rent a car or take a train (or walk) back the hundreds of miles. Just kidding about walking. The pilot and Woody were the only ones on Woody's plane when it exploded.

I love the thread title but where are the Lamb out of uniform pictures???

Anyway, to get back to the topic:

My favorite Lamb scene from the last episode was where Lamb booted out 'the JV team' because 'Varsity' was there...hee. It was probably that kind of attitude that turned Campus Security into robbers! The Soddom and Gommorah crack to Logan and Veronica was priceless as well as Lamb asking for everyone's IDs and wallets before Veronica pointed out that their wallets were stolen.

I'm sure Lamb would have loved to arrest them all for underage drinking, even though they just got robbed.

I also loved Lamb calling the media after they arrested the campus security guy because we all know that Lamb loves the media and is probably all about any positive press he can get. Maybe he really is trying to run for Mayor and he's trying to balance the stories where he wasn't the one that solved the crime? I doubt Lamb planned to give Veronica any credit for helping catch the robbers and probably just refers to her as a 'student at Hearst college'.

I did love Michael doing the robot, but I do think that was OOC for Lamb. He enjoys feeling superior to Veronica and he hates it whenever it appears that she's smarter than him, so I just don't see him goofing off in front of her. She already thinks he's lazy and incompetent and now he's let her add 'lazy, incompetent and apparently stuck in the 80's?'

I doubt Lamb would ever want to give Veronica that kind of 'ammunition' against him when he wants to prove that she's just a busybody college student while he's the LAW.

FF's been so slow for me lately so I've been kind of behind over here as well as Jason's board but I'm finally catching up like I want to.

Love the title and it's sooo true.

Also loved this last ep and to be honest I can't pick a favorite line or scene because they were all soo good. So much snarky goodness. If I had to pick a favorite, probably the stuff with Cliff ("Call Cliff and get off" Hee!) or the scene with Weevil and Logan.

This ep really felt like old school VM and it was such a nice balance of the core cast.

I think I may have to watch this last ep again cos I always miss stuff on first watch... plus the whole Cliff/Keith and Lamb stuff was just too funny I kept missing dialogue for laughing!

Aww, I missed you guys too around here. And Stef, I agree about Lamb's one liners. Another fave was Lamb wanting to do the Miranda Rights in harmony this time. I was cracking up. Lamb was sorely missed. Also loved Logan's "With Scotland yard on the case you'll be sure to get that necklace back" in regards to Lamb

Roz, I saw that and I hope I can make it. I work Tuesday night so it's a matter of me being awake at that time. I'm usually up by 1 Est time though so I should be able to.
