I think it'll be ok-we won't be placed on the low post count list if we go under this month. And we can make it up after you get back? You have to double your posts when ya get back tho!
Then again, sometimes it's just you and I on here. So, since I can't talk to myself-well, I could -maybe we should request help at least, if not a mod helper? What do you think?

Have a great time in Iceland!

I also love shopping. And I usually try to buy stuff on sale too (unless I really need something like winter coat or shoes for certain occasion or really good jeans). My closets are so full, that sometimes I can't find things any more. I know, I have to start trowing away old clothes, but sometimes I love them.

Gabe's is probably USA company, I've never heard of it. I am shopping in boring stores like Zara, H&M, etc. Almost every year I go once or twice to Italy (45 minutes drive), because they have a little different fashion and I love it.

HemsyFanatic811 02-18-2018 08:34 AM

Italy sounds FUN!!!!
Gabe's is a USA clothing store that sells mostly irregulars and close outs. Also, if a store goes out of business, they will buy that store's inventory out at pennies on the dollar. Something like our Big Lots stores do over here.
Well, they also have dog food and treats and housewares and candy/snacks too. No dress clothes or suits or refridgerated food though. I got a Hanes sweatshirt for 3 bucks-couldn't find a thing wrong with it. I got the hoody for 5.99!

I understand Gabe's concept now. I've visited similar stores too. Hanes is another store, right? I don't have a clue about it. I've only known, that in USA are stores : Walmart, Macy's and Nordstrom.

Do you like/know labels like Zara, H&M, Benetton? They are supposed to be fashionable, but I don't know. Lately everything is so stretched and without form. And that's more suitable for girls with sports figure, I suppose.

I've bought two days ago a pullover on sale. It was 50 euros before, but now it was only 5 €. Well, actually I bought 5 pullovers  for 5 euros (the prices before were from 25€ to 50 €).

Yes, Italy is fun. I usually go with my mom or with cousin and aunt and sometimes with friend. But is always fun to make a trip in female company.

Hanes is just a brand of clothing. They started out just making underwear but now have branched out into sweats and t-shirts.
I have heard of H&M and Benneton but never shopped at either. I think they started out in Britain? Anyway, my mall doesn't have either one.
I go to Wal Mart a lot-they also carry Hanes brand plus everything and anything!
There's also a Sam's Club-which Wal Mart owns-called a Big Box store-where you buy in bulk or literally, just a huge box, bag, or can of whatever you want. It's nuts but I enjoy going there with my friend. You have to pay 45 bucks a year to shop there. She has a card to get us in. You all have something like that?

I don't know. I've never been in such a store. That's America.
But they probably copy everything from America here. So, I might have found such a store probably.

But you know... we have ancient castles and you have better stores (and other similar things).

Zara is from Spain, H&M is from Sweden and Benetton is from Italy.

Thanks for telling me. I thought they'd started in Britain. When I had money and credit cards, I used to shop at the mall. Like Lazarus (now a Macy's) and Elder Beerman and JCPenney's. But now I work in a men's clothing store so I can get jeans and t's at cost. And right now, I have a lot of clothes. I'm a jeans and t-shirt person now.

It's great, that you can get good jeans and have so much clothes at the moment.

So, that Big Box store: you can buy choose anything and they weigh your staff at the cash-register? Are the clothes nice? Or is it actually ugly and not suitable for wearing? Or do you buy other things there? Furniture, food?

All very good questions. Nothing is weighed. It's just bigger boxes of the stuff. For example, let's say you're buying K-pods for your Keurig coffee maker. In a grocery store, you would buy a 12-pack and pay anywhere from 4.99 - 7.99. At Sam's Club, you get a huge box of them 100 for 39.95. So you buy in bulk, you save money.
They do sell clothing-usually, it's close-outs or all they have left is sizes XS and Small. And the clothes run small as well. It's good stuff-just to fit smaller people. They do have some furniture-mostly office furniture. But they did have a couch and mattresses of all sizes. Food-a LOT of it. Frozen and fresh whichever you want. All kinds of chips, cakes, candy, bread, pop in bigger cases, bottled water and all that stuff. Just bigger bags of everything and cheaper prices. The have a ton of housewares stuff too, like Lysol (4 giant cans for 10 bucks and trash bags, 200 of them for 12.99. They also have stuff that restaurants use too like pots and pans. And lots of electonics-big TV's and computers of all sizes. It's a lot of fun to just go in there and look around.
