Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I'm sorry I have been away. Our province got hit by an ice storm and we lost power for many days. Not easy when you're sick and you need to be warm. Being in minus 12 C weather in the house is really cold!

We got lucky and our power restored. I'm still not completely better but hopefully on the mend. There are still thousands of people who have no power going on 5 days...
I'm counting our lucky stars! Spending Christmas in the cold and dark would have sucked! |

Oh no that sounds really terrible.
 Hope things are getting better for you and the thousands of people that are still waiting.  It must be horrible to go without power for that long when it's so cold. Is there any change that better weather is heading your way?Today, I'm attempting to cancel my insurance. It's like one of those things where they tell you to 'just login' or 'make one quick phone call' and then you end up being redirected over and over again... I have until the 31st so let's hope I figure it out in time.  |

Sabrina - insurance talk just reminds me I need to see if someone for Covered California is going to approve my proof of residency so I can get some for the new year...ugh! __________________

I'm studying insurance (change in career) but our rules are different from yours...the concept is the same but they are slight differences.
Yes, I still have a cold. It's the type where you cough so hard that you want to gag but you don't. My head hurts from coughing so much. Thankfully we have power now...but I feel for those who are going 6 days and still going. The weather is going to get bad and power may be lost again. So I don't know what's going to happen. It's been pretty cold here. |

I quite like the excuse of having a baby to stay in on NYE
  I've never really celebrated it, there was always too much pressure to have an amazing time and when I was younger I used to hate the fact Christmas was over so would be grumpy about it being January Hope you all had a lovely Christmas  __________________
