Word. Lol. Logan yes can be an ass, but it seems when he is with Veronica he is a hell of better boyfriend then Duncan is.

I think there's a difference between the boyfriend that Veronica wants and the boyfriend that Veronica needs. While Veronica may want someone normal and dependable, her life is anything but normal and she is definitely not 'puppies and rainbows' Veronica anymore. She needs someone who has been as hardened by life as she has, someone who will stand with conviction at her side (since we know V does many things that don't make her well-liked by people, particularly the rich and corrupt), and....well, it's not everyday that you meet a girl who needs a 'someone willing to risk his life for her' criteria in her would-be boyfriend list, but Veronica is definitely that girl. Our Veronica is no martial arts master and a taser can only do so much, so when she's in physical danger, she does need a white knight. Logan, for all his faults, is all of the above. He's not perfect, he's sarcastic and certainly not politically correct most of the time, but ultimately he can be what Veronica needs. He certainly provides a balance to her personality that I'm pretty sure KB doesn't get.

At some point KB is just going to have to realize that the part of the Veronica she's imagined really aren't going to work, but whatever.

So true. Logan personally is so mean to everyone else but OMG how sweet he was with Veronica once they started dating. Or making out was more like it.

1. 4.5--If only that weren't a flashback.

2. 5--I absolutely love this song, and the lyrics fit really well with the song about a girl being there and he can't escape her.

1. 5 - Because the lyrics were perfect for Logan and Veronica (particularly Logan which is apt since the FB was in his perspective) and the version they used of this song is absolutely perfect for making out, what with the percussion beats and all. Definitely added a lot to the mood, to the passion, intensity, and urgency of the scene. Plus I like how they made it seem like the music was actually playing in the car.
This another one of the moments where I'm awed by the lyrical appropriateness, not just to the scene itself but also to where Logan and Veronica are in their relationship at that point in time. I think it can be assumed from Lucky's speech about revenge or whatever that this happened after the drive-by and before Veronica saw Dick and Beav transferring the gas cartons. Logan and Veronica are still in a relatively good place right here but it's about to go downhill fast. Plus Logan's I love you was never returned. So the feeling of neediness, love, and pain conveyed in the song makes it that much more appropriate for him and the state of their relationship at that time. And I have thought about this too much.

Plus, I just absolutely love this song, any version of it.

2. 4 - This song really added to the mood of Logan's speech. I don't know what it is, it's romantic without being mushy or cheesy which is a lot like Logan's speech. Heh. My qualm is that I felt the music was played too loudly. I know it's a party and all, the music is supposed to be loud but look at the scene prior to this with Mac and Butters, the music was audible without being loud enough to distract us from their conversation. And okay, I admit, I'm peeved that the music is so damn loud that it makes it hard to use Logan's epic speech in videos.

That's one thing that is a huuuge factor for me with what ships I like and dislike. I hate when the female characters seem to lose their independence with someone. They're the main reasons why I dislike V/D and Jack/Kate, my two least favourite ships, because I just don't like the people that Veronica or Kate become when they are with them. I like my girls kickass and being their own person, not all dependant and needy.

Can I just squee for all 4 of these nomms being diegetic? My favouriiiite kind of music in tv.

1. 4 - I completely adore this song. I prefer the original to the remix, but obviously the remix was much more appropriate for this scene

2. 4.5 - This song rocks muchly too. And I also love that Veronica actually says "I really like this song" because it just draws more attention to it.

3. 5 - because OMGSWAY! This song is gorgeous, and perfect and gorgeous.

4. 3.5 - I love this song, it's so pretty. and the lyrics really are fitting. But, eww, Duncan.

For me, it's not so much a question of losing their independance, as much as losing themselves, who they really are. And I hated the person Veronica had become when dating Duncan because it wasn't the character I'd grown to love and care about.
