| ITA Cleo, completely! You summed it up perfectly. I finally calmed down and posted over there and saw that Erin did as well. I still might have overreacted a bit comments like that irk me when yes, I know the Logan/L/V fanbase is popular. But to suggest the show itself is any indication of this or is turning into a "soap" is unfounded imo. And Veronica has had relationships all year. So I don't see the point other than it's meant to lash out at the popularity that L/V has achieved. __________________ icon by advant_guarde | |||

| We all know that Aaron was the killer... and there needed to be a logical reason for him to have more screen time and being in The Breaking Point and Beyond the Breaking Point really wasn't going to cut it. So what did RT do? Put Veronica and Logan together... now it could have all been in a platonic relationship sense... but no one wants that. So RT killed two birds with one stone giving Veronica a love interest and revealing the killer without it being too obvious. So really the relationship had everything to do with the murder and rape... and without it everyone would have been like "Why is Haaron getting so much screen time? Where are Casey and Luke? Oh snap. Haaron's the killer!" with all the Aaron sceens. Great start, BTW. ETA: I'm not quite sure if I am making sense... or if I'm even speaking about the right topic... __________________ *Miya* Dear Seventeen Magazine, How can I tell if the super cute boy in my class likes me ? | Exactly Miya. In my opinion, the relationship was the perfect way to get us to that point and it packed more of an emotional wallop with the betrayal, etc. I was so vested in that point I don't think I would have felt so emotionally spent otherwise in the end. __________________ icon by advant_guarde | |||

| I just chose to ignore the teenybopper comment. And frankly, I expect more from a mod. If you don't like L/V then that's fine, last I checked the relationship was not the focus of the show but whatever...people choose to see what they want to see. And honestly, what does it really matter why people watch the show. Yes, there are some people that only watch for one reason and then there are others that watch for several. I think we should just be glad that people are watching the show and that hopefully more people will watch next year (along with hopefully the same quality writing and acting) and the show will survive for another season. I don't care what direction RT decides to go with regarding Veronica's love life...ok, that's a lie. I am a L/V fan so I do care somewhat but I'm not going to stop watching the show if L/V don't end up together. As long as RT follows his vision and does not pander to the fans and the quality of the show does not suffer, then I'd be happy with whatever RT chooses to with his characters. And last I checked, since when did shipper = teenybopper? Yeah, there's some overlap but so what? Should teenyboppers just stick to the WB? Are they not allowed to watch quality shows as well? ![]() Like it or not, Veronica Mars is a teenager and thereby it's not that hard to imagine that teenagers and other young adults will watch the show. And since the main character is a teen, there are always going to people who write it off as a teen show. Although, the current promo isn't helping any. I know people who have never watched Buffy but just assume it's only a teen show since Buffy was in high school or whatever. VM is partly a teen show. It's also a lot more than that and it appeals to a larger audience than teens but I can see elements which appeal to teens as well (other than the hot guys and relationships). I would have loved this show when I was younger. I love the way that Veronica deals with things and how she confronts her bullies. I was more the type to let my bullies make fun of me and then I'd run away crying. Sigh... | |||

| That's very true, too. It made the betrayal much stronger. Both Planes Were Lost in the Crash was updated. Here are chapters 1 and 2 if you forgot what this fic was about... it's been a while... __________________ *Miya* Dear Seventeen Magazine, How can I tell if the super cute boy in my class likes me ? | Heaven forbid all of us actually enjoy a character on the show a lot (other than the hot female lead, of course ) and a relationship between two characters when the actors have amazing chemistry. ![]() __________________ There's a plan to make all of this right... | |||

| One thing I always wondered about... RT said he knew from the beginning who the killer was going to be. Does that mean there was always a LoVe relationship in the plan? I find it interesting that there is a distinct difference in their relationship after the first hiatus, which always gave me the impression that the writers had L/V interact more based on the undeniable chemistry between the actors. Now, if there had not been that amazing chemistry, how would the writers proceeded with the relationship? If Logan just continued to be the OPJ, nobody would have been surprised or even cared much about the turn of events. Alot of the emotional drama at the end of the season came from her conflicting feelings about Logan and his possible involvement in the crimes. I just don't know how it would have worked any other way, that's why I'm curious as to what RT's original intention was for the couple. As a side note, I still find it rather humorous that the network didn't think JD had enough leading man quality to be the main love interest in the show, but that TD did. It just goes to show how little the "suits" know about what the fans like. __________________ Logan/Veronica There case is fuzzy and circumstantial - Veronica Mars Never underestimate the size of my cojones - Logan | |||

| I like JD as the OPJ... I can't really think of him as Duncan, it's too weird. And I can't really see Amanda as Veronica either. __________________ *Miya* Dear Seventeen Magazine, How can I tell if the super cute boy in my class likes me ? No, scratch that. | Just stopped in to let you all know I wont be on for the next couple of days. We have family up from Savanah so I'll be away from my computer for the weekend. Didn't want you all to think I ran off like Moonie ( ) did a bit ago.__________________ {Jimmy/Chloe}MA{PDLD}Sarkney{Spuffy}PJ{DHr}Jaye/Eric{Simon/Kaylee}Inara/Mal "You were right. | Miya - what do you mean Dick isn't at the door??!!! I just got caught up with the new thread. I have to agree with you guys. Some people will always be bitter. I think that all of us here watch the show for lots of reasons - the LoVe development was just the icing on a very rich cake! __________________ Charter Member of the RRL's / Nasedo is the fu**ing coyote! You know, I did read a fic where Dick really was at the door. At the end, I was like "No way!" __________________ *Miya* Dear Seventeen Magazine, How can I tell if the super cute boy in my class likes me ? No, scratch that. | You guys are a lot more articulate than I am. But I agree with you all. And shlee, I agree. I don't care why some people watch the show as long as they watch it. ![]() __________________ avi by gretchen rose | |||
