Definitely. In the first V 1.0 scene I had to do a double take to make sure it really was V. But the why was justifiable. And in a way it made her better and the V we loved.

I came to love so many a character I hated in the pilot. Logan, Lamb, even Sacks! I even thought Duncan was interesting at points in S1.

Is it ep 2 time yet? We need to have some more discussion over here. Let's talk about FFwd-ing through the PH scenes for example.

Or the Weevil love.

It's time for Episode 2, you're right. After all of the basics of this episode--it was great to have something on campus for her to figure out (or well, mostly on campus) after all of the running around town setting up Lilly's death.

Oh when I first watched the pilot... I hate basically everyone besides V, Wallace and Weevil... I instantly thought Keith murdered Lilly for some reason. God I need to rewatch s1. I haven't seen it in forever.

Hey everyone

Some thoughts on the pilot right now because I'm going to try and watch CWCiD tomorrow.

As for the pilot, Veronica totally sold me and she alone really drew me in to wanting to know who killed Lilly and who raped her as well as finding justice for Keith and herself. I really felt her plight and I remember being so hurt for her being an outcast but in the same instance really impressed by her spunky attitude and hard edge. Although we knew somewhere under the surface there was a marshmallow as evidenced by later (hee) and naturally I fell in love with the scene of her and Wallace on the beach and that scene still has the power to move me to this day. It's just her look, Wallace's little wave as well as the music. It really touched me to see these two loners connect.

As for Logan, hmm,

let's just say, he was quite the OPJ and the scene at the end really jarred me. I knew Jason was a regular so I definitely was interested in him as a character for sure. Loved the moments with Weevil at the end. And as for Duncan, I totally felt Veronica's pain and confusion over him.

As for Lilly's killer, I remember the Kanes being at the top of my lists quite a bit back in the early days of watching.

I re-watched the first season last weekend and it made me sad again that the whole thing is over now...

I loved the first episode, especially that VM always holds her head up even with those horrible things happening to her. Her ironic way to cope although she's really heartbroken impressed me (and honestly, would not everyone of us like to be like her?

)

As for Duncan, I thought he must be an idiot letting a girl like this go...

As for the murder - during the first episodes I thought it was that Mrs Kane killed Lilly...

Okay you guys, this thread is too quiet! Anybody had a chance to watch two and/or three yet? Thoughts?Questions? Shippingwise, nonshippingwise?

I for one loved the Weevil Veronica love we got in 1.02. The start of the weirdl but working friendship. And they hugged

And I hated, hated, HATED Paris Hilton. That's probably why I haven't made time to watch it again

And I liked Troy. He didn't let V scare him away, that's character!

I've managed to watch 1x02 finally! And started 1x03

I liked the Veronica/Weevil friendship in 1x02 as well, and the fact that she knew it wasn't Weevil from the start.

Paris Hilton was god awful - I just cringe during most of her scenes. I do love that scene in the journalism room though with Caitlin/Logan/Veronica, and yes, I probably like the snark there more than I did when I first watched it!

I love Keith and Veronica's little act at the hotel with the hotel receptionist, hee. And I did like Troy way back in those early eps, helping Veronica out and telling her she's sassy. That all changed though!

I totally forgot that Logan and Weevil have a possibly civilised talk in this ep, although we don't actually know cos they go behind the car to speak. I guess they could get along when they mutually agreed with violence

Oh, and the introduction of Dick! It's kinda strange to think how far he comes from just saying "Logan" here. And I'm sure they spoke a little bit about Dick's introduction on one of the DVD commentaries, but can't remember exactly what right now...

and i love Troy.. and still do. I think he truly liked Veronica and their relationship was sincere.

Ooh I want to join! Any excuse to watch S1 again.

Pilot - absolutely loved it. It totally hooked me in, I really liked the way the way the episode introduced Veronica doing her PI work and of course the unusual way Veronica and Wallace's friendship began. And I also thought they did a great job of introducing the Lilly mystery and setting the scene behind Veronica's fall from 09er grace.

Credit Where Credit's Due - oh, Paris. The less said the better?

Not an episode that really grabs me but I do really like Troy and the Veronica/Weevil scenes.

Kat--the less said about Paris the better.

As for Meet John Smith, it was a good way to establish just how much Veronica works to help people.

I mean that poor kid looked so sad when he found out about his Dad at the end.
