Case File 3-07: "Of Vice and Men"
Veronica (Kristen Bell) is disappointed in Keith (Enrico Colantoni) for his ongoing relationship with his client, Harmony (guest star Laura San Giacomo, "Just Shoot Me"), who invites him on a romantic weekend getaway. When Veronica retreats to Wallace (Percy Daggs III) and Piz's (Chris Lowell) dorm room for some quiet time, Logan (Jason Dohring) seeks her help in clearing Mercer (guest star Ryan Devlin, "TRL") of the rape charges, but refuses to give her his alibi.
Ryan Hansen, Francis Capra, Tina Majorino, Michael Muhney and Julie Gonzalo also star. Harry Winer directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer. __________________

Ronnie needs to cut Keith some slack. I hope she doesn't go too hard on him.

Another excellent episode. Lots of fallout from last week
Keith's affair with Harmony is photographed by Vinnie and Vinnie wants $4,000. Also Harmony plans to leave her husband for Keith, it appears. But Keith ended things with her after Veronica talked him out of it. They got a Chili's on the Hearst campus? Somewhere, Good Ol' Jim Ross is calling Norman, asking the University of Oklahoma to put one on that campus if they haven't already. Professor Landry offers Veronica an internship with the FBI in the summer. But Veronica doesn't want to take it, thinking that Landry only offered it to keep her quiet about his affair. But Landry's insistent on Veronica taking it, saying that Veronica's his best student and he doesn't care whether she tells about the affair or not. Logan asks Veronica to help get Mercer out of jail, even though he still won't devulge their alibi. However, their alibi puts Logan and Mercer in a Mexican jail for accidentally setting their motel room on fire and fleeing the scene. But Veronica found out from Piz that Mercer's radio show, that was on at the time of Parker's rape(and Stacy's rape), is a call-in request show. Veronica also helped a girl named Meryl try and find her boyfriend Sully, who disappeared. But their search took them to the River Stix, the Fighting Fitzpatricks' hangout(and the Fitzpatricks still want Kendall's money, as Vinnie infered to Keith in their meeting). Veronica didn't want to go in there, but Meryl ran in there anyway, and Vinnie saved Veronica from Liam Fitpatrick, then tells her and Meryl that Sully was probably in the drunk tank, which he was. The end was wild, with Veronica at the food court, but she was unknowningly slipped GHB in her drink, again! She sees a shadowy figure and just made to her car, but the GHB overtook her, and she hits her car alarm. And Logan just happens to save her in the nick of time, but a bald spot was shaved on the back of her head. Wow. Logan then takes her back to her apartment and him and Keith nurse her back to health. I was quite dissapointed with this episode.
Logan/Veronica? Just not feeling them this go-round. This episode really sucked. WTH? Dragging on that Sully crap throughtout the entire episode? That could've been resolved in the first 10 minutes. The Logan/Veronica fight was stupid. And Logan's explanation about Mexico? Uh ... This whole rape storyline is dull and boring. What happened to the show I used to love and obsess over? Why would Veronica leave her drink unattended? She knows that there is a rapist drugging people's drinks. __________________

If it were at a party I would've thought she was stupid for leaving the drink unattened but I think she thought that it wouldn't happen at the food court.
And so going to use an avi of that last LoVe scene. SNiff. __________________

Well if I seen a hair in my food, I wouldn't think of my drink
I thought it it was a good episode. Though the Sully thing was annoying and boring. __________________

Loved the ending, though I knew her drink would be drugged as soon as she got up (but that's mostly because of CW promos). Wasn't really crazy about the rest, especially the Sully storyline. I agree that I'm really not feeling Logan and Veronica as much this season. And where was the rest of the cast that they promised?

i thought it was a great episode all around...it was intense and it also had its weak moments, but in the end it all served a purpose.
kinda thot Logan's alibi story was one of the major weak points...i was expecting sooooo much better where's mac? wallace? someone other than Veronica, Logan, Keith? loved the Piznarzki tho, as usual |

I thought it was a good one. My fave part was definitely Piz though.
I can see why she wouldn't think about someone drugging her drink. But also, I would think that with her background and her being who she is, she would have thought twice about leaving it there. Something about Logan is rubbing me wrong. |

I thought the ep was good but I wanted to punch Veronica about fifty times. And I'm upset it took a GHB-dropping, hair-clipping RAPIST! to make her appreciate the men in her life.
I know she's seen a lot and been hurt by lots of people (esp. men) but actions speak louder than words and even though I'm not a huge LoVe fan even I can tell from Logan's actions that he's tried to show her how much he loves her. The Keith thing is even more ridiculous. How about you cut him a hint of slack, Veronica? I know her image of dad was temporarily shattered but remember the time when your dad found out (on the witness stand) that his daughter had an STD? He's had to deal with lots of disappointment and mistakes. Other than wanting to strangle V (and that Merrill chick), I thought the ep was good. Plus I'm always happy to get me some Liam Fitzpatrick. __________________

So I realy need more time to process this episode, but it was good.
Parts confused me (like that whole Vinnie/Keith/Harmony plot), and that ending just killed me. The tearful and angry Logan at Veronica's accusations was great to watch, though. __________________

I'm not sure how I felt about this episode...
I was totally disappointed with the Mexico story - really they could've thought of something way better than accidently setting a fire to some motel... And as much as I understand where Veronica's reaction was coming from I was a bit disappointed she had so little faith in Logan. She really has major trust issues *sigh* Also she was a bit too harsh to Keith IMO. I didn't mind Piz before this episode. Actually I found him quite adorkable but now he annoys me... Or well not really him but the way he's written. Basically I feel like they're shoving him down our throats, trying to make him another "the opposite of Logan" and Mr. Nice Guy. It's just annoying. I just don't want him to be next Duncan on this show. Overall I always found him a blank and boring character and I feel like they're taking the same route with Piz... And bring back Wallace, Mac and Weevil dammit! I want the old cast, I really don't care about the new guys on the show, Keith's new romances and this totally confusing sl about Kendall... As for the last scenes - anyone else saw this coming from the minute Veronica left that drink on her table? |
