I love Madeline Kahn too! As soon as I saw Slim Pickens, I knew I had to go through Madeline. If I can work in the word 'shtupp', then it's a twofer.

I love her "I'm Tired" song in Blazing Saddles. Hilarious.

"I'm so ti-wed!" Kind of a cross between Marlene Dietrich (in Destry Rides Again) & Elmer Fudd! The best!!!
~~~~~~~
Sandra Bullock was in the film "Hope Floats" with Harry Connick, Jr.
Harry Connick, Jr. had a recurring TV role in "Will & Grace" starring Debra Messing et al.
Scott was featured as a high school acquaintance and artist in the "Will & Grace" episode, 'Das Boob'.
Next name: Val Kilmer
I loved Madeline Kahn too. She was a great actress and I loved to hear her sing. Blazing Saddles is one of my best, favorite funny movies. Mel Brooks is just a genius.
Val Kilmer and Tom Sizemore in the movie Red Planet
Tom Sizemore and Scott Patterson both had voice characters in the WB cartoon, Justice League, but not the same episodes.
LOL I'm not an old fogie, I'm someone that has been influenced by old fogies. I have to be able to figure out what the heck you're talking about. Karen, YGM in a few minutes.
Brigitte Bardot was in the film "Dear Brigitte" starring Jimmy Stewart. (above ... or
Jimmy Stewart starred with Donna Reed (1921-1986) in the film classic, "It's a Wonderful Life."
Footage of Donna Reed in her self-eponymous TV show - and the backstory - was highlighted in "Gilmore girls" episode 1.14, 'That Damn Donna Reed'.
New name: Miranda Richardson
Karen, if we're going by your rules, the Donna Reed connection is a bit of a stretch. I think we need a list of clearly defined rules for this game if you have a minute to update the first post.
I think on the other boards the rule is they have to have been in a film/movie/something documented together or have dated/of relation
ScooterJo, please permit me to direct you to guidelines on 2 posts by me in bold white print on the page one of this thread. Because the issue arose early on, I took special care to emphasize that the game is about connecting fellow cast members back to Scott.
As for my own post: kindly note my first line says
Quote:
starring Jimmy Stewart. (above ... or
meaning: I already posted a solution for Jimmy Stewart in post #40 (p. 3). I'm pretty sure you read it - because you replied to it directly in a subsequent post.
--> Since I'd already connected Scott and Jimmy Stewart (via Raymond Burr), I offered the Donna Reed connection to avoid repetition. Had that connection not already been established - then you are 100% correct: Donna Reed was not a cast member on GG; though we do see her on-screen during the episode in original footage from The Donna Reed Show ... and Ms. Reed died 15 years before that lovely tribute by AS-P.
p.s. Thanks, razzlephrat for checking, and thank you SPA for listing names covered already.
It's still very likely that names will be repeated in intermediate connections (such as Brigitte Bardot in a Jimmy Stewart movie) ... which is why I tried to suggest - that it might be better not to post multiple solutions all at once - to keep the game from 'burning out' with repetition..... But if people feel a burning desire to post their own solution - that's fine too. These are only suggestions. I am not the forum moderator.
Are Directors, Producers and Writers added to the mix of cast members as well?
SPA, it's a good question.
I don't know how the game's being played on other threads - and again, I'm not the moderator.
Here's what I do know: "Six Degrees of Separation from Kevin Bacon" was a drinking game we played in college in my day - while barhopping (legal age then was 18 BTW; later 19 ... fortunately NY didn't change it to 21 until after I'd turned 21 )
We always played making the connections off the top of our heads. So sometimes, someone would get stumped. (Then you had to drink more beer.)
Definitely ... only actors and actresses were used. The reason the game sprang up - and took off like wildfire is because Kevin Bacon - even in the 80s - had already been in so many films with ensemble casts ... that somebody figured out you could pick the name of any successful actor or actress - even someone from old Hollywood - and connect that person back to KB in 6 moves or less.
That is what I had in mind when I suggested 6 degrees of separation fron Scott - and it is the way it was played on the board where I first noticed it - last week. "Fellow cast members" is the premise on which I proposed this game to razzle - and the way I tried to describe it on page 1.
It seems to me: either razzle can make the call or everyone can vote on cast vs. cast and crew vs. cast plus directors & writers, et cetera........
