| Six Degrees of Separation from Scott Patterson! I recently noticed a game on another board that looked fun! If you've ever played "6 degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon" - then you already know how to play ... only this is with Scott's career, instead. Anyone can play at any time! Here's an example of how it works: I'll start with the name of the actor, Roger Moore. Now I have to figure out how to connect Roger Moore to Scott in 6 CAST connections or less: > Roger Moore appeared in "The Cannonball Run" with Dom DeLuise. > Dom DeLuise appeared in "Stargate SG-1" with Michael DeLuise (his son). > Michael DeLuise played TJ, Luke's brother-in-law, on Gilmore Girls with Scott. (Done - only 3 moves!  )Since I've connected the celebrity/actor/actress to Scott through career appearances (all films, TV = fine) in less than six (6) moves, now I have to come up with a name. The next poster has to figure out how she or he connects back to Scott! This is an honor system - but to make it easy for everybody to play - there are many websites that give a "filmography" (film and TV listing) for every actor and actress - with hyperlinks to fellow cast members ... for ex. The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) ~ TV Guide, TV Listings, Online Videos, Entertainment News and Celebrity News | TVGuide.com etc.  Now that I've completed one, I'm going to post new name for the next player ... good luck!! | Okay - SPA, I did say "career connections." I should have said cast connections. There is a very legitimate cast connection of Bette Davis to Scott. Think of your fave Bette films - and you're 1/3 to 1/2 of the way there. Kim Carnes is cute - but the "coincidence" that she and Scott (and 7/8 of US show biz) live in Los Angeles - nah! The game is about performers who were in movies or in TV shows with performers. Broadway is allowed. "Warner Bros" and "Los Angeles" - a little too general.... I have every confidence, SPA that you can do this!!!!!! p.s. | Kevin Smith was on Veronica Mars with Kristen Bell Kristen Bell worked with Matt Czuchry on an episode of Veronica Mars Matt Czuchry played Logan on Gilmore Girls (and we all know that Scott played Luke) If that's correct, the next name is Bono __________________ The only thing that scares me more than space aliens is the idea that there aren't any space aliens. | This is going great - I'm so psyched! Thank you razzle and everyone for your support! (Donald Sutherland - he's been in millions of movies - but 2 moves to SP! I'm totally impressed!) I'd like to suggest a couple of ideas to keep the game moving faster - and to avoid burning out on new ideas too quickly! In this instance (just above me) - it appears scooterjo and SPcg posted correct solutions first - and within a couple of minutes of each other ... that happens! In which case it's "jump ball" between the two of them to decide who will come up with the next name. Otherwise - like hangman for ex. instead of proposing alternatives ... let's just keep the game going. If you've figured it out - post your answer - with the new celebrity/actor name for the next round. (You can always check if you're right on imdb.com - takes less than a minute! The answer will be considered right unless it's challenged by someone. If the challenger is right, s/he's up next. Reasoning: there are going to be some repeats after a while - so just hold onto those alternative solutions - they might come in handy!! One other thought: Relatives (parents and kids, sibs, spouses) are okay only if they appeared in a work together - it could be film, tv, stage, or even documentary - as long as it appears as a billed credit! Ex: If Gwyneth Paltrow has never been in anything with her Mom Blythe Danner (I'm not sure!!) - then that connection doesn't count; but if they have - it's fine! Hope everyone knows: any/all ideas are welcome!
