That could work! Or if he needs a female model, I might make myself available.....

He studied acting in New York with renowned coaches Robert Lewis and Sondra Lee and observed Paul Newman, Arthur Penn and Frank Corsaro at The Actors Studio, where he appeared in numerous productions. The theater company he founded in 1988 in New York City, Arc Light, produced the works of John Bishop, Sam Shepherd, Harold Pinter and Shakespeare.
I wonder if Arc Light is still in existence? Interesting name for a theatre company. Maybe the pilots and screenplays he's writing will be more unique, off center -- which is introducing something new to viewers. Wouldn't cable -- HBO or Showtime be more of a vehicle for this?

Any chance the film might be a GG film. With Sex and the City coming out , that would be nice.

It's a possibility, but do you think that he would write a screenplay without ASP? He has such high regards for her, I don't think he would step on her toes to do that, unless he had her blessings. And even then, I'm not sure that Scott is "all in" in writing that screenplay -- he would follow ASP's lead though. And then there's the LG and AB factors. I'd be surprised if it was though -- maybe some type of spin-off of GG?

Not 100% sure - but I seriously doubt "Arc Light" is around any longer....

Totally random guess (besides Sandy Koufax) - I thought of someone else whom Scott might have thought of as an idol in childhood ... whose life story has never been made into a motion picture (excluding documentaries): Ralph Nader!

Now that's a good one. Maybe show a political POV??? That's an interesting idea.

Ralph Nader...that's interesting.

I was thinking Patti Smith, if not Sandy Koufax.

Yeah - lots of people have mentioned her. I just don't think she's an idol dating back to childhood. Whereas Nader - he was the first person to stand up to multinational corporations ... Americans got seatbelts in their cars thanks to him - and that was only the beginning ...

Another thought: one of the 1960s astronauts? I'm thinkin' of someone who completely captured the imagination and admiration of 7- or 10- or 12-year-old Scotty!

Maybe Dr. Louis Leakey?!

He might have been interested in Mercury and Gemini programs; my brother wasn't really into it (they are close to the same age); but my little brother was. Scott Glenn was considered the hero of his time during that period -- as well as other names -- Glenn stood out though.

I think you meant John Glenn...although I did enjoy Scott Glenn playing Alan Shepard in The Right Stuff!

I have been looking around online at Art Galleries in the LA area to see if Scott is on any of the 'artist' lists, so far I haven't found anything. Does anyone think he may already have some of his artwork in a gallery?

I think the stuff in his message is mostly in planning stages. If anything were a "done deal" - we'd hear specifics. A lot of those ideas are long-range - 3 to 5 year plans....

Plus: he hasn't been back from Toronto for long ... he's been working (acting) almost non-stop since GG ended. He may have had more time on his hands in Vancouver than 2000 to 1st half of 2007 ... but not enough to make lots of headway on all those ideas and dreams - esp. outside L.A. And he's got 14 different things in the hopper (plus or minus...!)

As far as art gallery showings - I don't think so. If he signed with a gallery, his art would be listed on their website; there would be an opening ... it would be a news item (maybe a brief - but still!) In that case, he wouldn't be contemplating art sales directly on the net. From his mentioning that idea, I infer that he hopes to eliminate "the middle man". That may or may not turn out to be a good idea - for many of the same reasons he doesn't represent himself as an actor.

I'm believe that if/when his art is exhibited in a gallery, esp. if it's in L.A., it'll receive some press ... and he'll probably give us a heads-up ... one way or another, we'll know! Just 'cause someone has created some paintings or artwork doesn't lead to an automatic gallery exhibit. There's a whole process of establishing "cred" leading up to that ... it can take a long time.

The updated biography on Scott in IMDb has been there for a while now (not real recent) -- I would think that Scott's artwork would be ready for showing very very soon. Also, if Scott is doing a lot of his new ventures on his own (by himself), or with little outside help/support/marketing -- then it could be a while longer. Maybe he's just testing the waters to see for himself just exactly where he would like to go with this. If he turned it over to others to get ready, I'm sure there'd be something on the internet about now or pretty soon. What do you think??

Maybe he's working on a huge surprise or as all!

Or maybe he got married. All the celebs seem to have done that this month. And secretly.
