There is information coming out almost daily on Saw V, but nothing really substantive. New added cast information. According to producer, Mark Burg (Lulu, we remember this yo-yo, right??) is very pleased with what has been filmed so far; everything is going very well and they are about to start the first trap (no news on storyline/plotline) -- I guess it's "on schedule" (which makes producers very happy).

I had a weird day yesterday. I vaguely remember saying I was going to find out an answer to a spoiler/thread question..but I don't remember what it was a bout? And I have never posted in this thread...so yeah.

It's still on the cold side in Toronto. The ending of Saw IV made it look like Agent Strahm was being locked into a refrigerated room -- so either he'll be very chilly or with the lighting, will be just comfortable during his scenes. I remember during the WB tours (and one of Scott's interviews) where they said that the stage shots (inside shots) were the most difficult to shoot because it got hot, very quickly (in a short span of time).

And, I speculate the Scott is having the time of his life right now. Also, Measha is back home in Toronto from touring Europe -- so maybe they caught up with each other.....

Sweet SPA(!) - it's a movie - nothing's real!! Just because we're supposed to think it's a refrigerated room doesn't mean it's really cold - unless we can see steam coming out of his mouth when he talks or breathes. It's kinda like snow in Burbank, ya know? Not to mention the blood - not real either. I kept telling myself that as a mantra during Saw IV ... "it's not real" "it's only a movie" "it's all fake" "it's only a movie".... No, it did not help! Not with those contraptions!!! I really hope he gets together with Measha. She and her husband are "culture vultures" - he really enjoyed that. Anyway - the major "cold" is probably Toronto in March and April!

Funny though - in the same way we can always connect things back to SP ... SP appears to connect things back to his own preferences and predilections.... Like Measha's performance in 4th movement of Beethoven's 9th with the Cleveland Orchestra --> soundtrack for A Clockwork Orange! Reminds me - the home of the Cleveland Orchestra this winter = Miami! I looked up program - no Measha

or I'd have gone in a heartbeat!

Episode 1.15 - The Muslim Card -- Airs: 27th April 2008

Raja befriends a girl who is ostracized by most other students, but he soon regrets it when she turns out to be extremely annoying and believes they are dating. Back at home, Gary and Franny click with their new neighbors until they learn the couple's shocking secret.

Another description of 1.15:

Raja gets an unwelcomed girlfriend. Raja befriends an annoying girl named Mindy, feeling that she is unfairly ostracized by the other students. After spending a day studying with her, Raja realizes how truly annoying Mindy can be and is horrified when Justin tells him Mindy believes she and Raja are dating. Trying to let her down gently, Raja tells Mindy they cannot date because of their religious differences. The next day, Mindy shows up in a burka and tells Raja she has converted to Islam so they can be together, forcing Raja to tell her the truth. Meanwhile, Gary and Franny hit it off with the new neighbors Ted and Leslie, but are shocked when Ted tells them he must notify all this neighbors that he is a registered sex offender.

Episode 1.16 - Smutty Books -- Airs: 4th May 2008

One of the PTA moms tries to get "smutty" books banned from the school curriculum; Claire tries to avoid reading "Pride and Prejudice" by claiming it should be banned; Justin's parents find out he has been drawing naked women.

Interesting. I'm wondering how the heck they will be able to make being a sex offender funny. I much would have preferred our speculation that the couple were swingers.

You know, they are so cutting edge with certain issues -- birth control pills, women's anatomy; sexual orientation, and a plethora of other little things (thank goodness the show is not riddled with profanities). I don't know how they are going to work in humor in the same breadth with sex offender, either, Lulu. I'll just have to cross my arms across my chest and see what it brings. Will probably wrinkle my nose or make me squint -- but will get over it.

From reading the descriptions -- I'm more convinced that TPTB really changed the episodes around -- giving their hard hitting ones last month -- which are leaving the weaker episodes for last. I'm thinking this is a tell-tale sign. So sad -- Stupid CW

Yes, but we know that (stupid, stupid CW, I mean). Intelligence quotients (IQ's) = room temperature 68. I'd have used the Celsius scale but that's vegetable (which I'm not ruling out) ... am giving them the benefit of the doubt at Fahrenheit - mentally challenged - low functioning (low/moderate at best).....

Am not sure I believe in a conspiracy as to the order in which the shows are being aired. Gotta remember too, when the showrunners worked out the plot lines and sequence of 1.14-18 it was totally pre-strike; (initially only 13 eps. were ordered) ... I'm pretty sure they thought the chances that the CW would order 19-22 was high as 14-18 were in development. Betcha they probably had some fantastic ideas for those last 4 eps. of the season ... + logic = always go out on a high note.

BTW the character Mindy - the chick in a burka who has a crush on Raja - is Jewish (on the show, I mean) ... some good teen rebellion there! The writers didn't totally lose their edge - it should be pretty funny! I'm lookin fwd to it!!

That network is going to give me ulcers. Can't kick the tv!!!

Lulu and I have noticed that the latest eppys have not been consistent -- weather-wise. I also believe there was some shifting around in the first 10 as well (2 eppys).

The show is all about breaking barriers, right? Including religion issues. Glad to see this show addressing that.
