Does it seem like they are 'younging' franny up? Her hair was different in the DC. And it seemed like her accent wasn't as thick.

I noticed that too -- no headband this time and I think the length is a little off. I accent was prevalent when talking the bouncer, though. And you are right, Claire is sooooo busted. Remember those days, Lulu??

I would love to see this...
Even though I am not a fan off Justin, I would love to see Scott in his fatherly role

CW's website posted this summary for next week's episode:

Quote:
The Tolchucks are set to fly to Vancouver for a family vacation, but when Raja (Adhir Kalyan) begins praying at the airport, the family is questioned and the trip is postponed.

Feeling that the family resents him and has never understood him, Raja leaves the Tolchuck's home and asks Mr. Matthews (Christopher B. Duncan) to place him with a new family. Guilt-ridden and frantic to find Raja, the Tolchucks turn to the local mosque, where Franny (Amy Pietz) and Claire (Lindsey Shaw) meet a Muslim mother (guest star Nimet Kanji) and teenage daughter (guest star Sunita Prasad) who are hosting a German exchange student (guest star Lars Anderson).

Meanwhile, Gary (Scott Patterson) and Justin (Dan Byrd) set off in search of Raja and share a rare father/son bonding moment.

Fred Savage directed the episode written by Richard Day.
Also the Director's Cut is up and running. Looks like some great Gary scenes!! And the Director's cut is very poignant between Raja and Mr. Matthews.

Fred Savage is directing a lot of Aliens episodes. Has he done them all???

Very nice director's cut.
If Justin is 16, then he was born in 1991 or 92. The swimming scene was around 1997. Were men's swimtrunks a little short then?? More above the knees???? Guess I'm getting greedy here -- just trying to be timeline consistent. (Yeah, right.)

That will be the third episode with the Little Justin. A picked a cute kid.
Gary sending him down the hill on his bike and turning the baseball to him (more like at him) cracked me up.
But if you listen as he's throwing Little Justin in the water, Gary is going Wheeee! while the kid is screaming No!! or something. Too funny

And Mr. Matthews is right when he asked Raja. Do they yell at Justin? Claire? Well welcome to the family buddy.

Take it from me we yell because we love.

And next week's episode will be the last new episode for a month. Do you think that this coming week's episode will have a turning point for Raja and the Tolchucks? And the last 4 episodes will either be leading to a season or series ending.

lulu, I tell my kids the same thing, I yell at you because I love you.

Since they did not know if the series would be back for a second season I wonder how it will end?

I thought the original premise of the show was that there weren't any other Muslims where they live and so Raja was supposed to be strange to them.
Now we find out they have a local mosque. So don't any of those children go to school with the Tolchucks?
