Somebody (wink-winkers -- I love that phrase now; use it all the time) sent me 3 cds full of music. I'm working on the songs right now, and will give you a full report shortly.

Here are the songs needed to complete the Anthology:

1990 - Skid Row: I Remember You;
1994 - The Band: Stuff You Gotta Watch; and
2006 - Beethoven’s 9th with Measha Brueggergosman.

Then there's Measha's Happy Birthday song especially for Scott

And then the list will be complete.

This song gathering went very, very quickly. Snaps, kudos and most of all, thanx to Lulu, Tarty, NoGods and Scooter. Woohoo; you're the greatest!!

NGNM that is good news that you can crop me out of a group shot that might make finding a picture of me a little easier. I have Scott's well wishes in my head now I have to get it down on paper.

Was not feeling too great today so I did not even think about the liner notes hopefully I will check out the songs tomorrow or Sunday and come up with some.

I don't think I said this but a huge thank you to all for making this dream a reality.... you gals rock.

Hey Michelle. I'm doin the same thing tomorrow. i'm going out with family to eat crabs just over the Bay Bridge and will have my digital camera charged to take some candid pics. There's got to be at least one that one be too horrifying to add to the cover jacket!! What Lulu wants, Lulu gets.

Feel better; the heat was horrendous today. I'm waiting for a thunderstorm to cool things off. You've also been a tremendous help and part of the project team. I thank you as well. Wouldn't be the same without you.

GUESS WHAT!!!????!!
THE SONGS ARE COMPLETE!!!

I'M BURNING TEST DISCS NOW.

Only Song Missing Is Measha's Happy Birthday Song

Excellent!!! I can't wait to hear how the CDs turned out. Please let us know Deborah after you get a chance to listen to them.

I hope everyone is thinking about liner notes...hint hint.

The CDs were out-of-this world!!! The songs are a great mix and the sound just b-l-e-n-d-s. Maybe it was the sunny day (little humidity), all windows down, sun roof open, the smell of the sea air crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the anticipation of partaking in Maryland's world renowned Blue Crabs ($55/dozen for large, by the way -- ouch). I cranked the music up and got a lot of thumbs-up during my commute. I wonder if this is a calling for me? (heehee). Anyway, I'm coming down from a buzz now (can't tell if it's from the music or the beer).

So now we need to concentrate on the liners for the songs and the cover jackets -- which I think are coming along just as swimmiingly.

I've received some well-wishes for Scott -- we need to spread the word!!

I think he's really going to like this. The work has been well worth it.

Excellent news Deborah that they work so well.

Question do the songs have breaks in between? Like if he wants to skip around he can pick a specific track?

1962: Wanderer by Dion. Because you are able to embrace any place that you happen to be, enjoying what each city has to offer.

1971: Imagine by John Lennon. A message of hope that we know you believe in.

1990: I Remember You by Skid Row. A little ode to your friendship with Sabastian Bach.

1997 Good Riddance by Green Day. No matter what you chose to do along the way, whether it be baseball, music, writing, painting or acting, we hope 'you had the time of your life.'

Remember even if a song has a line already and you have sometime different to add, do so. These are just suggestions.

Great to hear everything is moving along. Sounds like you had a fun day, Deborah! Lulu, your liner notes are perfect!

Oh, and there will be breaks between the tracks on the CD's, Lulu. Good question.

Yes indeed, there are breaks between the songs -- my cd players are indicating Track 1, Track 2, etc., so one can shuffle, or skip, or repeat songs at will.

I've created 5 separate files for the CD liners and have added all the songs -- just waiting for the list of liners from Miss Tarty.

Will be working on the back covers today.

Suggestion for Lulu:

Quote:
1997 Good Riddance by Green Day. No matter what you chose to do along the way, whether it be baseball, music, writing, painting or acting, we hope 'you had the time of your life.'
Even though the song says "had", maybe we could use the word "have" for present and future tense.

Deborah I was going back and forth on the have and had too. Because do we want to show that all the choices he's made thus far he has no regrets or do we want to say that all present and future choices.

Would "had and will continue to have" be too awkward to replace "had" in addition to the rest of your liner note Lulu?

1961: Stand by Me by Ben E. King. Your fans will always stand by you. You are the best!

1968: Back in the U.S.S.R. by The Beatles. Cover of a song originally performed by a rising star and his band from South Jersey, although it could have been the other way around.

(A little different from the earlier post.)

1973: Rosalita by Bruce Springsteen. Lifetime memories are made while listening to Bruce’s Rosalita.

1991: Right Now by Van Halen. Reach for the brass ring, you deserve it.

1996: Present Tense by Pearl Jam. Your live-in-the-moment spirit inspires.
