For "Are You Gonna Be My Girl", how about just listing umpteen phone numbers all starting with 555- and ending in the last four digits of our phone numbers. Thinking out loud. Thumbs up or thumbs down??
Quite clearly. Thumbs up.

Funny guys. I was reading Ela's as she simply said "Yes"

2003: Are You Gonna Be My Girl? by Jet. Who wouldn't answer yes to that? We certainly wouldn't ;>)

It's great, Lulu. I would take this line immediately. Who is still for it?

I was thinking about the Jet song too and figuring out how we could say "we would all be your girls" but I am so not good at creative writing. I love the one for Old Time Rock and Roll I was thinking something like that but got tied up with my son coming home from Europe to get to the computer fast enough.

Tarty had a couple of questions for me so I'm throwing them out there to you guys too.
Quick question, to get that message across that is worded correctly right?
or should it read

Are You Gonna Be My Girl? Who would answer yes to that? We certainly would.

Or do both lines convey the same thing. I'm going back to my high school English with the whole double negative equals a positive. LOL

Also I remember we mentioned in the Green Day: Good Riddance song changing had to have the time of your life.

I had though had because I believe he hasn't regretted anything he's done in the past.
We could say: we hope you had (and continue to have) the time of your life.

equals

Are you Gonna Be My Girl? Who would not answer yes to that? We certainly would!

So I believe the answer is: Who wouldn't answer yes to that? We certainly would!

The Good Riddance song could be written either way -- past or present tense -- your preference, Lulu.

Well folks, I just sent this FINAL LINER NOTE to Tarty:

Wishful Thinking: Beautiful for its genuine, poetic lyrics, this is just one of Wilco's many great songs.

I know we needed to keep it short for the last disc, so this is pretty simple. Plus, I'm a little burnt out right now. It's too bad because Wilco is one of my favorite bands in the world. We could have been flirty with this one too considering all of the wishful and dirty thoughts we harbor about our guy, but the tone of this song is somber so I figured I would keep it serious.

Holy pancakes I think we're almost done!!!
