You know, I hate the way they dressed him in S2 and S3 most of the time, because it made him look like he had a gut. But in ATOPAF and PS...I Love you you can really see that he didn't

He DID have a gut in S3. Just check out "One Dyes". Weren't we debating that about a year ago here?
He started losing weight at the end of S3. Only to be dead HOT in S4 and on.

I think we were debating when he was the hottest. And I contend late S2/S3, because I like him bulkier.

You are right that he had a gut. What I should have said is that the way they dressed him in some episodes made his gut seem bigger than it was.

I agree with this. And although he has gained and lost weight over the years, it seems he is occasionally stuck wearing clothes that no longer fit him. I have noticed in some episodes that one flannel shirt appears two sizes too big and later he will wear one that barely buttons.
