I’ve been just told tonite that Scott has just landed a recurring role as “Jack Court” father of Liam Court (played by Matt Lanter) on 90210!!!

Here is the latest episode summary of 90210:

Season 2, Episode 12: Winter Wonderland Original Air Date—8 December 2009 The annual winter dance at the Beverly Hills Beach Club is approaching. Navid thinks Jasper was the one who pushed him down the stairs and asks Adrianna to help him prove it. Meanwhile Jasper tells Annie his suspicions of her involvement with his uncle's death. Debbie tries to smooth over her relationship with Dixon with a trip to an arcade. Teddy has feelings for Silver, making Dixon jealous. Liam tries to rebuild his relationship with Naomi now that she knows the truth about him and Jen. Also, Naomi and Silver decide to spend winter break in St. Barts.

This is great news that he is back on television!! A wish has been answered. I don’t know how many episodes is “recurring” but this is a great start (better than a guest star).

Talked to a friend who watches the show and she gave me a bit of a rundown. The character of Liam, is a 'bad boy' but not really. His stepdad is a ass. (her term). Liam's real dad (I'm assuming that will be Scott) wasn't around, took off or prison or something (my friend couldn't remember).

So lots of potential.

Nice insight, Lulu. I'm trying to download earlier season 2 (this season) -- I need to research if Liam came into the show in Season 1 or this season. I do know that Liam's role has been in 20 episodes so far. So he's a relatively new character.

Here is some more news on Scott regarding 90210 and Asphalt Canyon:

90210: Scott is filming his first episode next week (December 14th), and expect that episode will air 3-4 weeks after that. FYI: Mike Ausiello at EW.com is already poking at his publicist for info so word is out -- and "we" beat him to the punch!!!! So there may be additional information about Scott and his character coming up soon.

And on that note -- I just received an e-mail from EW.com regarding additional information of Scott's character....

Scott Patterson, who played Luke, Lorelai's on-again, off-again love interest on Gilmore Girls, has joined the cast of 90210, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. [They may have found out exclusively, but we got it FIRST!!] Patterson will play Jack, the biological father of West Bev badboy Liam (Matt Lanter). Patterson will appear in multiple episodes when the CW teen soap returns in 2010. Jack comes to L.A. after a stint in prison, looking to earn some seed money and settle down by opening a tackle shop on the marina. It's music to Liam's ears, as he sees his dad's return as an opportunity to finally get out of his stepfather's house.

Asphalt Canyon: Scott plays a no-nonsense/ Colorado/mountain man/tracker/cowboy sheriff named Ben Sloane who comes to Chicago to find his son who has gone into hiding who may or may not be involved in a murder.

I'm loving the plot of this movie!!!!
