I heard that Deborah and I can say I'm glad because I always felt bad for the people watching the seasons and having it end with Season Six's Partings. Especially for people who may have never seen GG when it aired originally. Even though Season Seven didn't sit well with many people, it did get back to a better place. IMO

I hate how some said the final season was unnecessary but that final scene in Partings was all I needed to know how wrong they are. Yes much of the season was waisted with a SL going know where but to satisfy a questions which should have been answered in the first scene of 7.01 with the look on Lorelai's face.

BTW in some parts of Australia we are only 7 eps into the final season, yes 2 years late! No wonder people turn to the Internet in their 1000s.

Hi Guys

I have a quick question...... if Amy Sherman Palladino left GG at the end of season 6, why do you think she's still listed on the opening credits of all the episodes of season 7 as one of the executive producers?

On my season 7 DVDs she's credited as the show creator which of course makes perfect sense, but then she's also coming up as being executive producer before all the others...... I often wondered why.

PS<... by the way I hope you are all well. I am still in Italy and I am currently eating a huge pizza while I am typing to you...>!!!

Because she's the puppet master

But seriously I think it was some contractual thing but others may have a better answer.

I believe that Craig (Lancer) is correct -- as the show's creator, it's a contractural issue. Something along the lines of: "So long as the show continues to film future episodes, ASP will retain the title of 'Executive Producer' and shall remain so unless and until she relinquishes that title for a certain amount of $$$...." -- which of course, never, happened. Everyone -- LG, Scott and others, have always said the the life and breadth of GG falls squarely on ASP -- it is/was her baby. I would be surprised if it were something else other than along these lines. They certainly didn't keep her that title out of respect for her or from the kindness of their hearts -- I'm pretty sure it's money-related.

Who invented "pizza" anyways??? I know it was the Americans (NYC) who created the sandwich -- did we also create "pizza"??? And isn't Italian speghetti totally different from U.S.-prepared speghetti???

So tell me Lua, what was on your pizza? Just cheese and tomato? And is it better-tasting than British pizza??? I'm sooo envious of you and your European travels.

Ok Pizza, according to Wikipedia, was invented in Italy. We just brought it over to the states and made it better.

Now sandwiches, they have been around since caveman times in the form of a wrap of sorts. The first written record of a sandwich comes from the English, which is why they are credited with "inventing" it.

You would be amazed on what I have to study in school.

So the US invented the 'hot dog' then?

Here is a link to the History of the Sandwich. Danis and Craig are both correct. Jewish invention in the 1st century; UK improved on it over the Middle Ages and was considered a main meal; the US improved on it in the 18th century and we use it as a partial meal so to speak -- i.e., soup and sandwich; sandwich and chips, etc. Alas.

Now the hotdog has an older history -- here's the link. It has Greek, Italian, German and U.S. American roots. Need to read up on my 'Home' and the 'Iliad' to see if the hotdog was mentioned!!

Back on track, I still haven't heard any updates on the movie projects -- I'll send out some feelers this weekend and see if I can get a little something on any of the movies that are list in IMDb. I wonder why IMDb isn't mentioning Pink Ribbon in pre-production?

I want to know more about his project with Keiko.

All the food talk, maybe it's flashbacks to Luke's and the sort of idle chat the girls would have and luke would love

I've put out my feelers -- we'll see soon enough if there's any news. The only thing I can think of is the economy and the lact of a renewed SAG contract is making everyone keep their projects close to their vest so as not to show their hand -- yet.

I gues no news means just, no news.

Scott Patterson on One Tree Hill????? A new possibility:

link

Quote:
Scott Patterson joins 'One Tree Hill' for 7th season
Character thought to be Brooke Davis's father, Richard Davis.

Brooke's father shows up in Tree Hill?

"Gilmore Girls" alum Scott Patterson has been cast in the CW's long running drama-series "One Tree Hill" as Richard Edgar Davis, a former business tycoon but now down on his luck. He tries to make peace with his daughter, Brooke(Sophia Bush).

This is the first time ever through out all six seasons, we will meet Brooke's mysterious and powerful father.

While the producers of One Tree Hill wouldn't give more clues about Brooke's father, speculation is that he could show up in Tree Hill with a fatal aliment. Though Brooke could learn she has a half teen sister, who is 17 years old and is quite the partygirl. Could there be some sort of a friendship between Brooke's half-sister and Samantha? Is Brooke's father dying? At this moment, it is all speculation.
