Well, maybe. But Bones is on for 4 years now, so it must be a very old ad.

Could be. It's still weird though because we haven't heard anything about the movie at all. I know it's only April but still...

I agree, Susi -- someone isn't paying very much attention to their job. David deserves more credit than that. I love the show Bones -- David and Emily Deschanel are great. Did you know that Emily's mom was/is an actress and played "Annie Glenn (Mrs. John Glenn)" in the movie "The Right Stuff" -- Ed Harris' character's wife. It's all in the family!!

Oh yes, Bones is great. B/B Have you seen the last episode? Soo funny!
Yeah, her mom is an actress and so is her sister. And her dad is a director. It's all in the family, indeed.

Thanks for the Dodger Stadium Hollywood Stars Night info, SPA.

Apparently, SAG reached a tentative agreement with the studios this past week. The SAG Union Board narrowly approved it. Next it goes to the SAG members for ratification vote. We'll see if they can actually settle this. *Fingers crossed*

You're welcome. It's the least I could do.

Woohoo on a contract agreement!! Thanx for letting us know, Tarty. I'm ready for everyone to get back to work and concentrate on being prosperous. In these times, entertainment is the best form of making people feel better -- and we need entertainment desperately.

HOT NEWS -- RIGHT OFF THE PRESSES!!! (YDN saying, right??)

I received information from Scott today about his current projects.

Here is his latest message to his fans:

Quote:
From Scott:

1. A number of name actors are in the mix for Elements of a Pink Ribbon.
Fund-raising continues.

2. Two movies that I committed to have received funds from overseas and
those funds are in the process of being vetted by the Dept. of Homeland
Security. Once the funds are released, only then can production
proceed.

3. Wrote a comedy feature that is now at a major studio waiting to be
read.

4. Working on several screenplays (all genres). My favorite is an
action/adventure post apocalyptic vision of the future with a very
reluctant protagonist.

5. Working on a book of poems.

6. Have left Evolution, along with my manager, Laina Cohn.
No mention whatsoever about Saw – I think that’s purposeful one way,
or the other – confidentiality clause.

It’s good to hear from him – and extremely nice for him to keep us
“in-the-loop.”

Unless “Liberty” breaks out soon, it’s not likely that we will hear much more
in the very near future – but I like that he has acting gigs in the future!!

A book of poems – definitely a renaissance man, you know!!

Thank you Scott for all the news. Keeping the faith – and hope things continue
to work out to your advantage – or at least to see it from your point-of-view.

It's so great to hear something! Thanks for keeping us informed, SPA. We heard something before about his interest in poetry and I am thrilled and intrigued to hear more. I am very curious to learn about his influences and style as a poet. Hopefully we will get to read some someday.

I am a little...I don't know...sad (?)...concerned (?)...surprised (?) to hear that he left his manager and agency. My confliction comes from my sense that Scott is quite a loyal person. It must have been a difficult decision for him. I hope it opens up greater opportunities for him to showcase his unique and varied talents.

I can't wait to hear more about his comedy feature. I hope he wrote a part for himself!

I wonder if he is still interested in getting a gallery showing of his artwork. A poetry/art/music event would be great.

Thanks again, SPA!

My pleasure. I'm here to serve.

NoGods: I'm not sure he left his manager. I thought the way it read, that both he and his manager left Evolution. I guess it could be read either way. I was under the impression that he's still with Laina Cohn.

I can't wait to listen to his music and read poetry. How many of us can recollect reading poetry in school? I'm sure that will date us, for sure!!

UPDATE: I just checked. Both Scott and Laina Cohn have left Evolution. I believe that she is still his Agent/Manager -- just not at Evolution Entertainment. That's good news at least. Maybe they are both with a firm that can provide large exposures in different areas (producing, directing, etc.) It's looking like it's a move for the better.

Oh, thanks SPA. Finally, something new. Good to hear he's busy and that we can expect something in the future.

And Poetry? Sounds interesting.

I hope some things (if not all ) might work out for him. He'd deserve it so much.

Thanks again, SPA!

Oh yeah, I guess it could be taken either way. Maybe we will find out soon. I just hope he's feeling at ease with his decision--whatever it was.

Well I can only remember one worthwhile encounter with poetry as a student in school. Poetry has been a part of my everyday life since my early twenties, though. Ironically, I do teach it now in school, but not so much teach it as provide experiences, opportunities, and inspiration for it to be discovered. It's something (I think), that one has to define on their own. I'm so happy that Scott writes poetry! I wonder what sides of him emerge through his work. I am intrigued. Anyway, stab-in-the-dark--I wonder if he's a Bukowski fan:

The Laughing Heart

your life is your life
don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is a light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you chances.
know them.
take them.
you can’t beat death but
you can beat death in life, sometimes.
and the more often you learn to do it,
the more light there will be.
your life is your life.
know it while you have it.
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight
in you.

Thanks for the update Deborah. And for the clarification. The first time I read it, I thought he left Evolution as well as his manager. Then I reread it and thought it could mean they both left. So thanks for clearing that up.

I'm glad he is keeping busy.

It sure is a long process to get projects down the pipeline.

As good as it sounds that he's writing stuff and working on things that could be looked at as him being behind the scenes. IE the screenplays, poety etc.

I sure would like to see him in front of the camera again and soon.

NoGods: I like your choice in poets/novelists: Charles Bukowski, Born in Germany, raised in Baltimore and Los Angeles. His works seem intense and moderately dark. Very interesting choice. I have to admit, I haven't read him -- but plan on to!! I like the poem you chose. Do you think it fits nicely with Scott's painting.

Also, do you think he's writing poetry? Or collecting other poets works that speak to him? Maybe a little of both?

Also, I don't know if Scott is still with Ms. Cohn; only that both are no longer with Evolution -- but I suspect he is still with Ms. Cohn.
