A friend of mine found this link to a picture that was made by a "Scott Patterson" that shows a lot of similarities to our Scott's current work. I'll let you all be the judge. This picture was up for sale last October ('07) and doesn't seem to still be available. Looks like some lucky person has a genuine "Patterson Doodle"!!! Lucky girl. I have enlarged it a bit and the resolution may be a little fuzzy. I am also inserting the original size, which is a lot smaller. And the charity for the defeating children's hunger -- right up his alley. Enjoy!!!

SPA, you are right!. SP did that for a charity auction about 2 years ago. it was a very quick 8 x 12 inch with crayon, which is what the event organizers sent. it was a crayon competition

Thanks for the pic find Deborah and Lea thanks for the confirmation that it was infact done by 'our' Scott.

It conjures up Holloween to me. A scary face with the piece of wood for a nose.

Good find, SPA! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the background info and the 'our' Scott confirmation, Lea.

That picture is giving me an eery deja vu feeling...not sure, but it could be looking in the mirror the next morning after too many Kamikazes the night before.

All I can say is, that picture is interesting. I'm not a fan of modern art like that, even if it is by Scott.

Thank you, SPA and Lea!!!!

I also came across that drawing on-line - along with many other celebrity drawings that were auctioned off at a charity event. And if I remember correctly the event was not in L.A. Up to that time, Scott had only mentioned songwriting and playing guitar as his other creative activities - never drawing or painting. So I had no idea if it was him vs. the Australian director with the same name - and no way of finding out. Now - we know - it's "our" SP, alright!!!!!

As for various and sundry thoughts re: the face in the doodle: (a) umm, he's not a happy camper; (b) methinks (approvingly) that our Scotty has seen many a "Simpsons" episode ... in fact, it looks like Homer having a bad hallucinagenic experience(!) .... and (c) "I do hope it's not a self-portrait!" (d) The nose looks like the Eiffel Tower!!!!!

These pix are fascinating - I'm willin' and wantin' to see as much artwork of Scott's as he'll share with us - or are found otherwise. Quick 8x12", huh?! After seeing the size of his other canvases - that's a miniature!! LOL

Thx again!

Hello. I'm not sure where I should post this, but I went over to the What A Pair event tonight in LA. It was a really great show for a great cause. No Lauren Graham sightings, but there was a lot of "6 Degrees of Gilmore Girls." Kathleen Wilhoite, Jane Lynch, Emily Bergl, and Samantha Shelton were all part of the show tonight. Not to mention Amy Pietz was also there. During the after party we did have a chance to speak with her and what a sweet, sweet lady she is! First of all, she has an amazing voice. She sang In My Life with Lea Thompson. It was beautifully done. After the show, we spoke with her for a little bit and told her we enjoyed her performance. She asked each of us in our group for our names, and was very touched and appreciative of our kind words. After that we moved on to talking about Aliens In America, and we told her we'd miss her on TV next year. She was very sad that the show was over and said she was really going to miss it. She said it isn't easy for her to find writing she really enjoys, and she loved the writing on Aliens. She said that she misses working in Canada and also really misses the cast. She especially missed working with Scott. We wished her luck in her future endeavors and she said to keep our fingers crossed, but she would be on TV again! She emphasized what a great cause the show was for and asked that we return next year. We promised her we would, and before we left, we got her phone number.

It was a great night all around and Amy definitely showed us what a truly genuine person she is! We're already looking forward to next year!

What a wonderful experience for you Wanda. This was in L.A.?? Hob-nobbing where the elite, meet. Any picture taking???

There is at least one redeeming quality for Aliens -- Amy Pietz.

I heard that during the filming of Aliens, Amy was legally separated from her husband and were in the middle of ending their marriage. With that and living in Canada, away from close friends and family she was having a tough go at it. She does have humanitarian qualities -- a real genuine person.

Very cool, Wanda!

Amy sounds like she's an amazing woman!

I wonder why Lauren wasn't there though, I remember she was billed to perform??

And she had Scott to talk to while away, maybe their on screen chemistry was something more?
