There isn't a single critic that has given a positive review to a movie and/or its actors of a horror genre. It just doesn't happen. And the critics are just making butts out of themselves because the more they print drivel such as this, the more the people go out to see the movie -- and for 5 years, this movie series has made plenty of profits. As a matter of fact one of the executive producers just stated this week that "as long as there are people wanting to see Jigsaw, we will continue making them." Now I'm not sure about

I have found some critics who critique the plot of the movie, but have stated that Scott's performance is great. I will post them when I get hom.

When it comes to bad reviews -- I consider the source.

Oh I don't know 30 mil is certainly good waste of talents and too bad they didn't give him more credit when he was on GG... they always lavish everything on LG.

Maybe Scott needs to look at more comedy rolls or Dramadys? I like it that he's trying next things, any change he'll do a Broadway show one day

Actually Lauren was universally praised for her recent movie work, the only complaint is she has been under used and needs a lead roll,

Good thing she'll next be doing "Guys and Dolls" on Broadway in March.

.... Now on a more positive note on Scott's performance:

Hoffman has fitting opposition in Scott Patterson’s Agent Strahm. Merely nondescript wallpaper in the previous film, Patterson steps up to the plate in a big way and shows the most fight of any of the cops since Detective Tapp in the original. There’s a moment in the film when Strahm pulls out all the files of the previous Jigsaw victims as we’re taken for a trip down memory lane and it was just the kind of acknowledgment the series needed at this point. The film effectively stages a battle of good vs. evil between the two lawmen on a collision course that can only lead to disaster. If I had to pick it’s probably the weakest of the three stories in the film, but I was shocked how interested I was in it.

Apparently on this review, the only two good performers of the movie wre Costas and Scott, but doesn't rate the movie very highly:

The acting was not great at all. Besides Mandylor, Bell, Rota and Patterson performances, Heckl’s direction of everyone else was either dull or flat out annoying, as I wasn’t interested in any of those characters. That includes Julie Benz and Betsy Russell,....

So, at least there are a couple of critics that seemed to like the movie and/or the actors' performance -- but then again, it's a horror movie, which sets itself apart from dramas. At least the exposure was a good experience for him and they still recognize Scott from GG -- which is a win-win.

Scott's next two movies are going in the action/drama area -- 'men packin gun' -- boys will be boys, I guess.

Thanks for posting them SPA it's nice when the actors (some of them) are praised but the movie isn't as good.

The next few movies sound like fun but the big question is will he be forces to wear a bad wig again

Wouldn't be interesting if it's a "buzz" cut? More military-like. We'll just have to wait and see.

Luckily I have already seen the film. Since the German fans must wait still till February.

As far as critics go, I think everyone has a right to his or her opinion, but that being said I generally don't let that sway me seeing a movie one way or another.

I can't speak for Scott's performance (big chicken here), but I have talked to people who have seen the movies (all of them), and as far as Scott's acting they felt it wasn't so much he didn't do a good job (they thought some of the scenes he nailed it ) it was how he was directed. Don't know how others feel but the people I talked to thought that Darren did a better job as opposed to this movies director and when Scott was given the meat he rocked. But other times when the direction was lacking the scenes were flat.

That does seem to be the concensus of the majority of the reviews. The critics don't like the plots and the way the scenes were set up -- not really alot is being said of each of the actor's performances -- however, the actor makes the scene, but the actor doesn't have the final decision of what stays in and what goes out.

I just don't see what the big fuss is about? It's not like any of the Saw movies are up for Academy Awards.

We are thankful just to see him on the bigscreen. I'm hoping that's not only where we see him -- it's too long between gigs.

Also, congrats to Saw V -- IMDb has now listed Saw V as the No. 1 movie!!! Wow. And Scott is listed as 141 in the meter reading -- He jumped over 140 points from last week. Good news all the way around. Kudos to all.

We are happy to announce that things are back on track. We have wonderful talent coming aboard, as many of you have heard(and as I have mentioned before) Scott Patterson is joining us in many roles. He will be playing Bruce Schnable, along with producing! We will also be using some of his original compositions in the film. Keiko Agena is joining the cast as Ellie Dee. Shelia Traister is playing Ronnie Schnable. (She is a wonderful, talented lady) To be able to work with such wonderful talent is so joyous; I really have no good words to describe my gratitude. Elements of a Pink Ribbon

This is a contemporary comedic story of finding oneself under bizarre
circumstances. 25-yr-old Leslie has always seen herself as a lesbian.
Billy, a young man living in his van, has only had relationships with
other guys. But the two of them discover a unique bond and develop
romantic feelings for each other.

When Billy moves into Leslie's house, which she shares with her
alcoholic mother and two oddball, wannabe musician brothers, Leslie
