If the CW sees that this works and they knew GG worked, it might be the right place to have the movie.

But again, I wouldn't want to see it if not everybody was there. And that is a bigger issue than having a networking willing to back it up, at least IMO.
IMO, it's a question of timing and amounts of time. Are people thinking that at the snap of a finger that this could be created overnight? And "who" is/are the person(s) realizing that GG movie is best bet? I certainly hope that people weren't counting on the CW to make those decisions. They wrote off GG from the get go. There are so many factors that need to be considered and established just to make a movie, much less revive a series. The only hope is for the movie to be produced from a different network, larger network, more established network; better organized network -- and that in no way, shape or form describes the CW. I suppose with that, they could "lease" the Warner Bros. lot to restore S/H -- it's been done with other shows/series. It just seems that the workings of this should have been in the making the second the GG series ended -- by the time they work things out -- that flame will not be as tall. And, it won't work with anything but the original cast. It just won't fly.

And MA isn't doing us any favors by teasing die-hard GG fans. It's cruel and unjust. He's a moron -- still.

I doubt it.

Again, I doubt it. It's up to Amy where she will go with her script, once she has one and then to see which network will take her on.

It's obvious that a movie has a much bigger chance than another tv series. That ship has sailed.

Oh I definitely don't see a series. It would have to be a movie, atv movie to be more precise. All the factors would have to fit and I don't believe the cast would even consider coming back unless ASP did it.

I think that even though they tried to be supportive of DR and speak nicely of him, I believe that the cast knew he didn't quite pull it off.

Regardless of what we think of ASP and how she left the show, it was her voice that captured Stars Hollow.

Couldn't agree more. I don't think I'd want to see a movie in which ASP didn't have a hand.

Not a peep that I can find out anywhere's. There was a "speculation" (and I emphasize 'speculation') of a tv show, but almost as soon as it was rumored, it went away. Speculationsville can be a frustrating place to be at times. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Where's SassyPaws and/or Lea Gaines -- she's the one with all the juicy, good news.

Any movie talk scares me considering how Amy left things, it scares me what she might do but ITA the whole main cast needs to be back, baring one person I will not name here.

Right now fans have there own picture of what happened after the final scene, we can write fiction and have happy thoughts but with any movie all that's out and god know what would become of L&L with Amy in control again.

I think I would trust a movie by ASP -- now. Enough time has gone by to the point where I think she knows what the fans want -- and, I think enough time has passed to where any wounds from hard feelings have been healed (to a degree).

It may have been the Gilmore Girls with LG and AB, but that show also had equal weight with Luke. ASP knew that and even stated as much around the end of season 5 when there was a question of Scott signing a contract for Season 6.

Everyone wants "the correct" ending for L/L -- I'm not sure what the ending was to be for Rory -- it seemed for the last 3 years it was to be with Logan. Having the show end with both girls still single, left them in the exact same position they were in the pilot episode -- only having each other, and R/E. Everyone admits that the ending was pretty flat -- as bet. So if ASP were smart, and I'm betting she is, she will give the show the ending it deserves -- more upbeat -- more satisfying to all. At first I didn't trust ASP, but now that time as passed I'm beginning to warm up to, and liking the idea.

I just hope she already has a screenplay and is now securing production. The wonders of Holllywood -- don't you just love it -- I hope there is someone listening that understands the score.

I hope you're right, my fear (probably irrational) is it will be several years after the final and Luke and Lorelai will be in the same position and not married. Worse still, Chris is back sniffing around, because the movie will need drama

I'm still hoping it will be a couple of years later, the got married and maybe there is a toddler running around the house. (maybe we get flash backs of the previous few years)
And we could have it centered around Rory coming home for some even, so basically things as normal but with L&L now married. Maybe a FND and at a few townies and we'd be set!

I can understand that some persons can't trust ASP for a movie, but I don't see another person.
I think we have lots of hope and wishes because we want a suite, we want something different than we had in S7. We deserve it!

I trust Amy as far as I can throw her. They should let the show rest in peace. Amy has done enough and she can't redeem what she has destroyed with Partings and putting DR in charge who didn't have the balls or power to do the 7th season to his likings.

As much as I hate what Amy did in her final season I doubt she would go against the majority of the fans and break up L&L again. She knows the ratings history and is we got a TV movie she would have time to build a season so would have to start on a good note having then married and with a kid by now.

Shouldn't this talk move to Scott Patterson - Gilmore Girls Continued? GG movie discussion thread #2 - Page 5 - Fan Forum
