Thanks for the update Lea! How sweet (and typical) of Scott to think of his fans as he mulls over his options in the art world. I am not surprised there are galleries interested in the US and Europe. I know that I would love to have an SP original, but as KBatMo said, I couldn't afford to pay what his work is worth. My original art budget would only enable me to buy paintings with titles like "Dogs Playing Poker" or "Velvet Elvis." Alas, I stick with my travel photography (not great, but cheap!).

I agree that going the gallery route would be best for Scott. I would definitely travel to see his work on display.
Quote:
p.s. There's no reason Scott can't post his work on a website for folks to check out ... I just don't think it's the avenue he ought to take - professionally/commercially speaking. The website could always carry a link to a gallery rep. whom potential buyers can contact for more info. But again, given dealer/gallery websites these days - his own site might prove unnecessary; that's up to him.
Quote:
Some form of special limited edition copying would still have collectibile value and would make his work accessible ($) to more fans - that would be wonderful!!!
I agree, Kbatmo!

I'm happy to hear Scott has a new studio to keep painting. Go for it!

I've been able to find out a little bit more on Elements Of A Pink Ribbon. There is a myspace blog from a member of Pure Element Film Productions, in Denver, Colorado, who are producing the film and are writing updates about the movie (latest was May 13th -- before Lea's post). On their last blog, it mentions that Keiko Agena (Lane Kim) has signed up for the movie as well!! Here's their latest information:
Great find, SPA. Thanks! I would be thrilled to see Scott in more indie films. I'm very intrigued about the cable comedy as well. As for his writing, Lea, please tell Scott not to forget to write a part for himself. I don't think I'm alone in saying that I want to keep seeing Scott on the screen.

Currently there are some galleries that would like to rep him and his work - 4 here in the States and 3 in Europe. He is interested in your opinion.
Which country or countries in Europe offered ? Is that known yet ?

I don't think that Scott is asking for our opinion about how he can make the most money from his paintings.

I think that Scott is asking us what is the most fair way in deciding how fans are able to access and possibly bid on his paintings.

***********

All I stated in the beginning was that it depended on Scott himself -- Gallery representations will definitely give him top dollar; however, a lottery/auction will reach more of his fans. Am I reading Scott's inquiry differently than everyone else??

SP is in his new, huge, light filled studio a lot working on new paintings. He wanted me to ask you if you thought it would be a good idea to offer these works for sale to his fans directly (by lottery or auction) or would it be better to deal with galleries?. Currently there are some galleries that would like to rep him and his work - 4 here in the States and 3 in Europe. He is interested in your opinion.

Nope, at least not differently from how I'm perceiving it.

I want to know this too!

I'm afraid that Aliens, Scott, and Amy are out of the hunt for an Emmy Award. None of them made the "cut"

All submitted episodes for consideration:

Producer submitted "Rocket Club" for Best Comedy Series
Scott submitted "Help Wanted" for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Amy submitted "Pilot" episode for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series

All of them missed the "cut"

As far as I can see, they are still making "cuts" until you whittle the listing down to 5 entries for each category -- from that point, they are officially "nominated". Are there such things as "pre-nominees"??????.

@#^%$*&! Thanks for the info, SPA (you would make a good investigative reporter!). I think "Rocket Club" was a good episode for submission. Seeing as though the Emmy boneheads ignored Gilmore Girls for seven years I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Thanks for keeping up on the Emmy news and sharing with us, SPA. The results don't surprise me since the Emmys seem to just recycle from year to year anyway. @#^%

I was told by an inside source that Scott, indeed, will be at Comic Con on July 24th in San Diego.

Have you seen the prices to get into those conventions?? They are incredible.

Thanks for the info, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for some pictures!

And he was suggested for a show. That's always a good sign, knowing that people still find his performances memorable.
