Maybe at a bar with tvs so he can watch the NCAA tournament. Do they do that in Canada?? Watch American College basketball? I didn't realize -- it's cold up there in Canada -- Scott is filming Saw V a month earlier than he did with Saw IV (March vs. April). First week of Saw V has ended -- I suspect we'll here some news about the movie in a week or so.

Yep one week under his belt already in the filming. I don't imagine they film on the weekend. Although they probably will work today since it's Friday.

Nooo! (Aliens in America Looks to Be a Goner...) I'm not gonna lie. This is just about the suckiest scoop I've had to report in a good long while, and it actually makes me tear up. Aliens in America looks to be dead. Casting sources connected to some other show (does it really matter which one?) have informed me that Scott Patterson is now being classified as "available for a new project next season." He's the Tolchuck dad, you see, and an integral character on Aliens. And it gets worse: Adhir Kalyan, who plays Raja, also has been cast in FX's Nip/Tuck for next season. It's only a recurring part, but I think we all can see the writing on the wall, and it makes me a sad clown. If you haven't yet seen this show, you have no idea how tragic it is that Aliens gone. The show truly found its groove in later episodes, and Momma Tolchuck (Amy Pietz) just might be the funniest woman on television right now. (OK, next to Tina Fey and Jenna Fischer, but still.) The CW network has yet to weigh in, and the CBS-Paramount studio officially has no comment. If something comes through contradicting the news that Aliens in America is over, you'll be the first to hear it. In the meantime, I'll be over in the corner sobbing quietly if anyone needs me.

Yes -- it was posted on the Aliens thread as well for it being "Aliens" news also. I'm not so sure we'll be able to see Scott this coming Fall. Maybe a little later than that but keeping fingers crossed for good news.

I'm disappointed - but not surprised - about the sad news about Aliens ... but ITA w/Copperboom & SPA ... let's hope for the best & send out those good casting vibes(!) - that Scott will be back on TV soonest - and in something as good (quality-wise) or even better ... with much higher viewership! Likewise his next film project after Saw VI (I'm going to assume he's in it until I hear otherwise!)

Mark Burg, Producer of Saw V, announces that "principal photography" was completed at 8:51 p.m. on April 28th. With that said, filming is done -- I guess that means Scott is heading back to L.A. -- or at least out of Toronto. Now maybe he can concentrate on getting into another show for next Fall.

Let's get Scott back in the US and specifically back in LA. That will be the best place to be I think to get him another gig.

thefutoncritic is pretty good and has a lot of info. This link takes you to "Devwatch" where you can search for shows in development, ordered to pilot, etc. using the filter options.

Taking a quick look, I found one ordered to pilot called "The Bad Mother's Handbook" that is a "single-camera comedy that centers on a 32-year-old woman too busy taking care of her 16-year-old daughter and 48-year-old mother." Those ages sound really familiar, mother and daughter, 16 years apart. They just threw in a younger grandmother in this one, lol.

I sincerely hope so. I really want to see Scott in something great. After watching in for seven... well almost seven seasons on GG, some of the episode I just couldn't stomach even for my SP/Luke fix. I think he deserve something great that he can get his teeth into. He took a grumpy diner owner and make him so darn lovable. I think he deserve another network from the WB/CW. They don't seems to do much ads for a show they don't believe in. Or if tptb doesn't have issues with said shows, they don't seems to treat the shows that I loved like crap... GG/BtVS/AtS/Everwood and I was really now loving Alien. Sheesh!!!!

I hope that Scott like other actor that their tv show didn't last very long goes on to have good Film roles.

The word now is that Saw V is in "post production". Does that mean that the actors are still there?? Or have all been released so that the editing process can begin?? I'm not exactly sure of the step-by-step procedures of film-making.

I'm hoping that Scott will keep us informed on what he plans to do in the near future. Would be nice if we had a little news straight from him, wouldn't it??
