What a great interview. I wish it was spoken instead of in print. I"d love to hear him say the line about bitch slapping the critics. He is such a well spoken man. I feel his answers are always thought out and not cookie cutter answers. What a guy.

I think Scott knows that Aliens will not be renewed. And it's interesting that after GG, he wanted another TV show where he plays the lead. My first thought was a spin-off of GG -- called: "Luke's Diner". He loved the character of Luke in many ways -- the fame, the fortune, the character's strength (won't be taken down; his own man). It might have worked. I think it's too late to try it now. I love that he loves (present tense) the character, Luke.

And him and his dark side with blood and horror. Sheesh.

Thanks for the link, Copper! I loved the interview. As usual, Scott comes off as generous, articulate, and funny. I love how he gives full responses without any need for prompting. Oh, and he said, "groovy cat." What a cutie!

The IGN interview - wow!!!!!!!! I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor. Don't know whether to LMAO CMAO (cry) or both! (I like both!)

Bausman was a "groovy cat" - huh.

(basically) conventional family life for a guy - esp. w/ a strong-willed wife = castration
"marriage + kids = guy castrated", for short

I think if things get quiet after Saw V filming, he should start producing and marketing those as bumper stickers and t-shirts(along with similarly inspirational messages). He will clean up on e-bay!

Oh - he was in fine form last Friday! Peace love and understanding - all the way!

Very cool article. I think he described Luke very well, as he did Gary.

He appreciated the talent of Amy and Dan and he said straight up that even if the season seven writing team was talented it just wasn't the same.

I giggled at the groovy cat also.

I'm glad he was honest and said that he originally didn't want the role in Aliens and why.

The groovy cat gave me a chuckle too. I like the spin off called Luke's Diner.
Liz & TJ could have roles too actually the whole town other than the girls

As for what you said, SPA, I'm afraid for Scott, the pickins' are slim for pretty much any actor but he's not as well known and well, I'm just scared that people are just gonna let him go.

IMO Scott was just referring to Luke being the family man not that Luke would become a Gary clone.

ETA - SPA a GG spin off would be fun but given the ending it would mean L&L didn't get back together which a lot of fans would hate and not want to watch just Luke as much as they love him.

Yeh, I guess Scott meant Luke as a family man. Luke could never become a nerdy kinda guy Gary is.

I just hate to see Scott slip off the actor radar. I just wish more powers that be would see what an incredible actor he is.

That's taking giant steps, Michelle. See what happens when you have Scott Patterson I just hope Scott is as impressive in Saw V as he was in IV; and more screen time. I'll take a lot more screen time.

Any news that it's official that filming for Saw V is, indeed, March 17th? I can confirm that they are not using the same studio/warehouse for filming Saw V. David Hackl is moving all the sets from previous Saw films by Bousman to the warehouse/stages that Bousman used for the filming of Repo. Said they just finished up months of construction/remodeling.
