It just seems that everything the CW has done since its inception has been not classy, unprofessional, moronic, disorganized, and untrustworthy! Anyone trying to bring a new show to television, especially a quality show, should stay away from the CW!

Elissa: You can't say that Scott didn't give the network a fair chance. Between last year of GG and Aliens -- when everyone else bolted. He gave them more than a fair chance.

Scott has been good to the CW. If Aliens gets canceled I hope he gets on a real network!

So, are the Studios revamping old Pilots of shows that they decided against running last September to fill in gaps?? Or are there shows "in the winds" that just need the strike to end to get started. The reason I ask is that I'm wondering if they (studios) are negotiating with actors for shows coming up for the summer/fall of 2008 -- and is there the possibility that Scott is entertaining that as an option. If so, then maybe there's a good chance that he might get a gig in one of the Big 3 networks. And do you thnk he'll stay with WB?? He's been there a while, and they do have shows on the Big 3 as well as TNT, FX, etc.

To be a bit fair, unlike the rest he had a contractual obligation to stay with the CW...

I believe his contract was signed with WB Studios. CW, a network, buying shows that studios create. WB could of, or did, hand him scripts for other shows -- I don't know which ones though -- and Scott chose Aliens for whatever reason. I'm still skepitcal that Scott, at first, was aware that Aliens was a CW-sponsored show. While pickins were probably thin so late in the game (end of June 07), he still gave CW the benefit of a doubt that it would be better in year 2. That's what I've been reading on it anyways.

I agree SPA, I thought the agreement was with WB not the CW. I hope the WB can place him in a hit show on a hit network!

I wonder if he'll stay with WB? When he fulfills his contract this year (barring any or another holding clause) I wonder if he'd stay with WB? They seemed to have taken care of him over the last 8 years -- some degree of loyalty. I guess a character actor is like an independent contractor. Signs a contract for the work they do. Not like salaried jobs like most of us. Curious.

No, I don't. Only what you know, that he invoked his holding clause with WB to work on Aliens. I presume that when he agreed to play Gary on Aliens that a contract was drawn up for that part -- I don't know any more than that.

I would feel a lot better if the CW would let us know their intentions for the show. At least we would then know, or at least have an idea of what is ahead -- not only for us, but also for Scott -- whether there's a season 2 in Aliens, or we wait some more to find out what Scott will be doing next.

Anyone from California have any inside track on that kind of information? Or is it stalled because of the strike??

BTW: MA is a LIAR!!! I knew better than to believe anything on his website. Sheesh.

He said that the writers strike was resolved and that announcement of the ending of the strike would happen within a day. Liar. That's nothing but cruel.

MA knows nothing more than anyone else following the strike knows.

IMO when it ends it will come quickly and everything will be settled, then the rush for info on the different shows will start.
