Now we need some news about Aliens and I will be happy for a while.

I know we posted about the filming dates for saw but I was listening to Top 40 with Ryan and he had Eva Longoria on (Desperate Housewives person?) and she said that most networks aren't letting their actors really go film intensively (or otherwise) for movies and stuff "just in case".

Any idea if the CW is like that?

I would be very surprised if there's more than 18 episodes of Aliens filmed after the strike ends especially with David Guarascio and Moses Port being sacked. From what I understood, there were only 18 episodes ordered, and, I would assume that Scott signed a multi picture deal (I've heard rumors of it being for 4, 5 and 6) with Lionsgate/Twisted Pictures for Saw so his scheduling conflicts would be factored in.

CJ I heard that he signed the multi movie deal too. I thought all the episodes that were ordered for Aliens were already shot so I would think Scott should not have a problem.

I don't think that Scott will be filming any more Aliens episodes for season 1 (if there's a season 2). Scott signed the 3-Saw-movie deal before he signed up with Aliens. Must have been a clause in the Aliens contract to allow him to film the Saw movie. And since Saw V has been confirmed to be filming in March, and it's almost February now, I think 18 is the number for Aliens this year -- (and still hoping for a season 2).

No response yet from my e-mail to the CW. I was hoping for some type of acknowledgment today. [Who am I kidding -- They won't respond to my e-mail at all] I just don't know why all the secrecy about the airing of new episodes of Aliens. Falls under the category of National Security (I should have written that when I wrote to the CW).

Yesterday - with all the rain in L.A. causing mudslides ... that moved east today and was supposed to dump a foot of snow today in the Colorado Rockies. Roads were probably impassable today ... my money's on skiing in Colorado tomorrow - unless he's traveling elsewhere. Hope his house in the Hollywood Hills is on high ground.

New on variety.com - when SAW IV hits cable (USA), it'll be on the SciFi Channel or IFC (Independent Film Channel):

Thanx for the information, Karen. SciFi is a cable station with commercials, right? I don't know how they are going to show the Saw movies, which are riddled with profanity -- I mean, almost every other sentence. But we'll see... Good venue for Scott to get on the airwaves for larger audience (I guess). I don't frequent the SciFi station very often.

There are talks supposedly, and both sides want it to end ... but Variety sounds less optimistic than Ausiello. (Remember - the guy who had the inside "scoop" on GG - S8!) With fewer new shows and inactive actors, TV gossip biz is slow. I'd take anything from him with a huge grain of salt. (More like a rock of salt - a really big rock!)
