Scott Patterson Music Thread #1 ~ RockStar!

From Wikipedia:
The Happy Birthdays is a soft-rock group featuring Marc Summers (host of Unwrapped on the food network) and the actor Scott Patterson (most famous for playing Luke Danes on Gilmore Girls). They are joined by two other musicians Keith Southern and Jonathan Ruiz. Marc plays saxophone, Scott jams out on his specially made axe, "the leather strip" and also performs lead vocals, and writes most all the lyrics. Keith plays bass and Jonathan rocks the drums. The band formed in June of 2001.

Their first album is called Sad Clowns on a Lonely Day Only Smile When the Weather is Nice and is due out June of 2008, it's hard for the boys to get together due to their busy schedules. It is rumored that Lauren Graham has been asked to perform vocals on two tracks that also feature Sebastian Bach as lead guitarist. Alexis Bledel has also been asked to perform tamborine on a few tracks.

Thanks to margaret2005 for finding it.

I guess we all knew Scott played guitar. I am really curious about this!

Interesting find, Yvonne. Thanks for sharing

I've heard/read that he has also been reconding for a while (not that he only plays the guitar) but I had no idea he had a band.

So, we finally get to hear him sing and play the guitar. To bad we have to wait 2 more years for that

Thanks for sharing.

Why do they have the same name like an unsuccessful Swedish girl band? :look:

Does anyone know the 'Pandemoniumfromamerica' album of people from LotR cast? I wonder if a collaboration of some people of the GG cast will also be so strange and hilarious, complete with improvisations and out-of-key singing.

It's a very interesting piece, it would be awesome if it was true. I remember reading stuff about Scott recording some things, but never about a band.

I've searched around but i can't find anything. :( I hope we hear something else soon. :)

I never knew Scott played guitar if he releases any albums I'll get all of him even if I don't like the music just so I can listen to his sexy voice.

Did we send a question to Scott about the Happy Birthdays?

I can't remember. But if we did, let hope he'll give us some good news about this..
