I'm sure the count will climb up again once we hear what his next project is. I really do hope it's a tv project -- a movie project is just too long -- not unless he's doing 3-5 movies a year (we aren't that lucky though, are we).

Well, the numbers were declining ever since last January. It's going to take a little bit of time to rebound from that.

It's hard to post when there's just no news one way or the other. I think it is much better when Scott is working -- all we seem to do now is wait to hear and see snippets of a finished film.

Maybe a message from Scott might boost things up. I hope Sassy and/or Lea posts something soon!!

But I think a good mod does help things along. True, you can't keep the board going forever, but like on Moonlight, even with the cancellation, they are doing well. It's not impossible.

And as everyone has noticed, we haven't had a mod for quite some time now and even with the low count, the board is holding its own until solid information about what Scott's future plans are. There are plenty of reasons and finger points to go around for the low count. We seem to be smack in the middle of some lean times; but hopefully there will be good news around the corner and things might pick back up. And there's a big difference in a Forum of a cancelled show compared to the Forum of an actor.

When a show is cancelled, it's gone -- the only thing you can talk about are past episodes and the hope of the show restarting elsewhere. The future of the show is limited until it's just living in the past.

When an actor finishes a project on a tv show or movie, it's on to the next subject. There will also be talk of past performances in shows/episodes/movies; however, it has a future for as long as the actor wants to work and that he's still alive.

As long as there are people waiting in the winds for what Scott is going to do next, there will be people posting from time-to-time about any news or pictures that they find. There are a few rumors out there as to his next project; I'd like to wait and see some official information before posting crazy innuendo with nothing to back it up. Hopefully we'll know some real good news soon, and people will want to come back and post thoughts and views.

So, you're saying that an actor's board always has something (new) to talk about and with a canceled tv show, there is no news. Shouldn't that mean that post count shouldn't be a problem here?

I think all boards go through a period of downtime. There are some boards that rode the closure line at one stage, and are now among the boards with the highest post counts.

However, summer is over, and let's see what that brings, eh?

With a new mod coming up soon and hopefully new projects in the works, I'm sure the board will be fine.
