I don't have time to watch it this morning and it took longer to DL than I hoped last night, so I will watch it when I get home, in about 12 hours!

ETA - I found the time to watch AiA and I think it's good, could be fun but I agree right now it's hard to picture Scott as the dad, guess he won't be wearing his flannel and backward caps anymore LOL

In the new TV Guide with High School Musical 2 on the cover. They have Family Fall Preview inside.

Aliens in America is mentioned (pg 40). Unfortunitely the picture they show is the one with Raja in the classroom with the teacher.

The last line in the blurb is. "Gilmore Girls will rejoice at the sight of Scott Patterson as Justin's dad, even if he doesn't sport Luke's trademark flannel shirt and baseballcap."

He deserves more than just a little blurb at the end. I bet he is bringing in a lot of viewers. I know I had no desire to watch the show until he was cast in it.

Okay, here's the scoop:

At 9:45 p.m. EST, while I was watching "Gilmore Girls Only" episode, a 30 second commercial came on for Aliens of America, and guess who was on it!!!!!

SCOTT PATTERSON!!!

It was the reshoot scene at the airport when first seeing Raja.

Scott had short hair; was clean shaven, had on a solid olive green shirt; beige/Khaki dress slacks. Had on a wide brown belt and watch out -- geek alert -- he had on a cell phone holder on his belt loop (Ugh) -- so we may have a geeky dad here.

To me he looks thinner than Luke. I mean his waist looks like he's about a 28. So with those broad shoulders -- youza, youza!!!

He still uses the Luke dumbfoundness look and it put a grin on my face.

The scene was reshot with all the actors. The airport background was different than the first; the mother's hair was about 2 inches shorter in the reshoot. Also, in the first shooting the son was shorter than the mom. In the reshoot, the son is taller than the mom. Wow. In the PB shoot dad and mom are about the same height; in the Scott reshoot, Scott is way taller. Son and Mother were dressed the same. Raja was dressed the same. Because Scott is taller than PB, the slacks were same color, but shirt was different; PB was a green color but had a design; Scott's was a solid olive color.

I'm telling you, all I could think about when I saw him was "Am I recording this episode???" When I realized I was, I breathed a sigh of relief so that I can see over and over and over.

My goodness -- all this anxiety for 3 seconds of tv time -- literally!!!

Anyways, I think that CW will be updating their website real soon.

Scott looks yummier than ever!!!

Hurry up with those photo shots already!!!!

We are all on the edge of our seats.

Everyone ought to tune into CW for the next couple of days during primetime. It'll be shown over again, I'm sure.

Because Deborah was kind enough to inform okay scream (Go to the AiA thread now) I was informed that Scott was finally shown in the commercial. Because she is east Coast and I am West Coast I didn't miss a thing. I had already planned on DVRing (is that really a verb?) the GG episode anyway, I was able to rewatch two, three okay seven or eight times.

I personally thought he fit with the family. He had the dad look down. Deborah was right he had the dumbfounded look down with an added mouthed "what" to end it. Kinda like the whole "Luke will you marry me?" "What?" look.

Gotta say he looked good, he even had the 'dad' haircut. Short but not to short and not overly coiffed.

Actually, the word "now" was typed in all CAPS "NOW"

When it comes to Scott Patterson, I'm always dead serious. No foolin around (well, cept maybe with me!!!)
